Downtown Diner & Fresh Beer Cafe — Restaurant in Gurugram District

One of the oldest breweries in Sector 29, a well known hub for corporate party animals in Gurgaon! My recent visit made me sure that this place deserves the hype that it gets!

Since I am not much of an alcoholic, these establishments never excite me but for so many years, I had been hearing about the awesome food served here, especially the pizzas and just couldn't resist the urge of getting my hands on some of their delicacies last night.

⭐ No ZOMATO GOLD here as you'll hardly find a table without waiting. They don't need to attract the crowd with 1+1 or 2+2 offers. Their fresh beer flows here like crazy!

🔥 Tandoori Soya Chaap

A new menu comprising of almost 10 delicacies has been launched and this one makes it to the list. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED The Soya Chaap are stuffed with Cheese and marinated with Paneer Makhani.

🔥 Loaded Veg Nachos

Another one from the new menu. Goes perfect with the drinks of your choice. The portion was enough for two and was presented beautifully! Nachos were baked with Cheese and loaded with Green chutney and cream! Amount of Cheese was on the lesser side and I liked that.

🔥 American Fiesta and Paneer Tikka Pizzas

Would choose the American over the Paneer Tikka as it was loaded with all the veggies that a pizza lover craves for. Onion, capsicum, olives, golden corn, mushrooms & jalapenos! Super thin crust pizzas layered with the perfect amount of Cheese and no doubt why it's loved by everyone in the city!

Appreciate the option to have a full 10 inch Pie or a 10×3 Slice!

Down Town, hands down, is one of the best pubs I have ever been to. It is situated in Sector 29, Gurgaon, and I visited this place twice with a friend.

Ambience is great. There is ample seating area at Down Town, whether you are with a friend or with a large group of colleagues. The lighting is perfect and music is brilliant. In the basement seating area, there is a screening area, for matches, a gaming area, where you can indulge yourself in a bit of virtual bowling or virtual cricket. There is a seperate smoking area too. The decor here is brilliant. There is one corner completely dedicated to Harley's!

The beer here is fresh, crisp and brilliant. We ordered the tower wheat beer both times we came here. It was magical. The menu too is an experience. We ordered the mixed kabab platter, competitively priced at 495. It has fish tikka, murgh malai tikka, lamp seekh kabab and chicken tikka. We had to ask for the chutney and mayo thrice. That's partly because we were having every bite carefully, garnishing it with chutney, mayo and garlic sauce.

Service, then. No complaints on that front too. A patient and courteous staff. We asked our tables to be shifted, and air conditioning to be turned down, and they did it readily. Orders were served pretty fast, so there was little waiting time.

Served Non Veg food instead for Veg food We had been served NON VEG PLATTER instead of VEG PLATTER when we had been there over the weekend , I personally had never ever eaten NON-VEG in my life but they made us eat at DOWNTOWN. Before placing the food order we told the attendant that we are Vegetarians and all the food to be served should be strictly veg. When asked for Veg PLATTER we were served NON VEG PLATTER. Due to dim light we could not make out that the dish has been served was NON VEG. We had ask them 3 times to the person who had served that is this veg. He said " sir the food is 100% VEG. It was only after tasting it we realized that it wasn't VEG FOOD and had to spit it all out. Again we called waiter & asked what this then other person told its NON VEG. When manger was called he said that he went to take some Call and so this happened .

Even in the bill it was been mention NON VEG PLATTER and some drinks. What action can be taken against such people? Inspirited of all this happening the attitude of manger was that he is not accepting the fault. their service is not so good, probably they have way too much business to handle and mainly they should make sure that they serve vegetarian food to vegetarians.
