I had seen great launch promos and there was great hype about the place. I don't belong to the Critiques or modern day blogger community so I was not invited at the launch. Then after few days, heard some bad food reviews, and I was like, yeah this happens when the place spends huge money on creating the social media hype. By inviting popular social media bloggers and groups, but cut costs on the quality of staff and the food!
Then I happened to visit the place a few days ago, along with my friends. And faced the reality!
In reality, this is a place with as good a decor as a bar and brewery can create keeping in mind its neighbouring competitors. They haven't got the brewery license yet, but they have a fully stocked bar. A cool mixologist, churning out great cocktails and mocktails and the food quality is no less!
Personally met the chef and the GM to discuss my apprehension, and the hearsay about Gravity. And I immediately felt relaxed. They turned out to be thorough professionals, with a very good past experience. They knew what they were doing :-)
And so we started ordering. We ordered Whiskey Sour, Tennessee Mule and Cosmic Flower in Coctails, and the Sundowner mocktails. All were quite good.
The Food scene covered the Kataifi Moroccan lamb sheesh kebabs, Old Delhi style chicken wings pakode, Keema pao grating, Batata Stone, Lamb chops, the hanging desi chowmein, The icecream, and a gajar halwa mousse filled - my now 'Godfather' favourite Cannoli :-)
I couldn't find fault with anything! Still I told the chef that for a desi old delhi style chicken pakoda I'd have liked it without skin. However, when I read the menu - the dish has it mentioned with skin chicken wings pakoda. So no complaint there either. The lamb chops were one of the best among the resto bars that I've visited so far. Succulent, fleshy, mildly spiced, very soft and well cooked lamb chops. Exactly how I like it! In my opinion, if you can do justice to a lamb dish, you're already a winner :-)
Batata stone was next and I was perplexed to see charred black potatoes on a bed of 'Shaaligram' style small stones and wanted to ask, what do I need to eat? the charred looking thing or the stone looking thing! However, the server came to the rescue, maybe upon seeing my facial expressions. He served the charred looking thing to me and I immediately put the whole potato in my mouth and started chewing, My apprehension disappeared, as did the potato. It did give a little crunch, a charred skin taste, and then softness of potato. No spice needed :-)
So my friends, here's a gem you've been missing. I'm also going again soon after they start their brewery! See...
Read moreSunday is always a fun day. Yesterday I went this place with my friends. I had a FANTASTIC time there. It is located in Sector-29 market and just 5 minutes from IFFCO Chowk metro station. The ambience was too good. Once you enter this place you got feeling of space. BDW I tell you. Its on 4th & 5th floor. It even have roof top and high chairs. Full marks for ambience.
Now talk about food & service. Service was tad slow but food was too yumm.We ordered quite a lot. We ordered- Pav Bhaji Moyette, Bhelpuri Bar, Chole Bhature Fondue, Chicken wings, Fish Tikka, Lamb chop, Rajma chawal croquettes, Chicken Pizza, Paneer Pizza, Dal Makhani Foam with breads. Everything was superb. As I’m vegetarian I completely love Rajma Chawal croquettes, damn yumm, crispy it was Coated with papad which make it more crispy must try. And even their pav bhaji is too yumm. My friends completely loved nom veg. No doubt food was damn good. Absolutely worth it. Dal Makhani foam and even chole in chile bhature foam was blend bcz of their theme, which I liked. They didn’t just made this restaurant theme based not only by interiors or by presentation even by food. I completely surprised and impressed. Thats why the name of dal Makhani in menu is “Dal Makhani Foam” and chole name is “chole bhature fondue” Loved it. Food was damn good.
In drinks we ordered, Apollo 11, Get lost in summer, sex on the beach, Go Green, Sun Downer, Virgin Mojito. Everything was good. Especially their Get lost in summer. Worth it. Do try.
After having all this we were full. But still we all in love with desserts. So we ordered 1 Almond Brownie & Vanilla Popsile. And we didn’t regret. We end up ordering again. Beautiful presentation and too yumm.
I completely recommend this place. From food, drinks, theme, presentation.. everything...
Read moreLocated on the upper most level of Vista Park hotel besides Bikanerwalas, Gravity is quite spacious no doubt with both 4th and 5 th floors with almost 6000 sq. ft. of space, wooden flooring which is kind of charming with a Victorian touch, Comfy wrought iron chairs and wooden chairs on the Alfresco Style open air side where you can light up your nicotine without getting out! So the space is kind of sorted with all the comforts which one can look for😃
They have a large and impressive bar counter where they mix some best cocktails and you can see it yourself while the mixologist is at it! They have some enchanting mix of heady concoctions without any doubt whatsoever. They have pretty good and fresh brewed beer too for those who are in the mood for it. Their mocktails are another GEM of a combination with some best mixed and curated drinks and shakes and smoothies. There food is definitely another A Grade experience with Yummy starters, lip-smacking finger food & tasty bar snacks all at their best taste and eye catching presentation that goes notches above 😲
Their Food curation is definitely trendy, be it Continental, Hindustani, European or Asian. Chef Vishal puts in a class act to dish out what you have asked for while you are busy getting tipsy. The staff are also very courteous and non-intrusive but pretty attentive under the able leadership of Mr Satbir who always has his eagle eye on all to keep the place in ship shape which charming his guests with the hospitality that’s pretty enchanting to say the least! So there it is. Gravity is the place to be if you want SPACE and wanto let your hair down at ease while having a good time with friends or colleagues or even a client for that matter! They know their game well and they play it well. So go and experience the...
