DHABA 29 — Restaurant in Gurugram District

One must try this gem of a place. It's easily on the list of my top 5 restaurants/dhabas to try across country.

Food: The quality is just out of the world, the preparation takes around 25-30 mins but its definitely worth the wait as they prepare everything fresh and serve.

The even serve 5 different flavoured chutney which in itself is very tasty.

Service: Staff is very polite and they will even help in suggesting dishes. One of the owners- Mr Shubham is very customer friendly and goes out of his way to serve his guest in whatever suits best. If you have some confusion on what to try, just ask it from him he will give his curated choices and they are definitely very good.

Atmosphere: Small Village themed ambience.

Dishes you MUST try:

1.Dahi Kabab: This dish is a must try for starters even if you are more inclined towards nonveg food. Mark my words you just won't regret it.

2.Tawa Mutton:I personally am not a fan of mutton but this dish is just crazy, the perfection to which the mutton is cooked is just amazing, definitely...

It was RamNavami and I was discussing lunch with my colleagues and went to Leisure Valley. There we saw Dhaba-29 .. We were about to order Favourite Dal Makhani and a Paneer dish but we ordered the dishes referred by the staff as Dhaba Dal Tadka and Paneer Tawa Masala with Naan and Butter Roti..5 types of chutney were also served. We were happy with the decision since we asked about their speciality. We took sweet Lassi which was also very good and thick as compared to other restaurants. Since it was Ram Navami and the restaurant owner was a Religious guy and served Prashad (Poori with aloo and kaddoo ki subzi and suji ka halwa made in pure Desi ghee) separately for everyone coming for lunch with boondi ka raita. Prashad anyhow any time is made will be more tasty, delicious than any food.. "Khana itna swadisht tha ki kab humne apni items and woh Prashad khaya pata hi nahin chala". This is one of the night rock market at Gurugram. Caution: By the name of Market don't get confused with general use markets. It's famous for night pubs, alcoholic drinks, brewery and full fun among youngsters. There are many discounts running every weekend to full your stomach upto mouth. Nothing is mouth watering as whatever goes inside already in liquid state. But make sure you are carrying enough bucks in your pocket and a loaded credit card. Rest night and time is yours. Also don't dare to drive a car here unless you are not relative of a big man like Top Cop, Bureaucrate, Politician as Mamu (Police Uncle) keep on waiting outside to catch you under drink and drive.
