This was our second time at the Town Hall, and it was even better that the first time (probably because we were struggling with dry january our first time - and our friends were not!). Anycase, we had guests from the UK so we took them here for the bruch. We were a party of 6, and got the 6 seater table in the window - I think the best place to sit. Then the food and service were both first class. The food is a combination of buffet (salads, sushi, nibbles), and warm food which you order from the table. It was all excellent. We enjoyed free flowing cocktails and bubbles from the moment we arrived at 12:30, till we staggered out at 16:00. There was no scrimping on the alcohol content, and they served them as fast as we could finish them. Amazing. And this was thanks to our waitress, Dinar (apologies for spelling, but her name means 'direction' in Hindi'). Not only that, but she was great in her recommendations, and one of our group had an unusual allergy - ginger - and Dinar also helped massively by pointing out which dishes did, and did not contain it. Overall, a great experience. We made the most of it and dressed nicely for the occasion, and for sure we will be doing this again at the next...
Read moreRarely have I been so pleased by a restaurant that I would want to go back to it for a certain food. But this one is different. EACH DISH WAS A MASTERPIECE! loved it. From the coffee to the dessert, couldn't have had a better meal!
We had the chicken sriraja bao, the ebi tempura sushi and the Indonesian Mee goreng. The sushi was a masterpiece, not too much not too little. The taste was immaculate and the crush from the prawns was lovely. I was also quite impressed by the plating..
The tiramisu was a wonder dessert.... It was so moist and creamy... Loved it. There was a cherry on top which was a disaster on the dish 😭 but I ignored it anyway.. The Mee goreng was a 3/5 as the noodles were not appropriate according to me... (I could be wrong) and I asked for veggies which I did not get.
Sushi 5/5 Bao 5/5 Tiramisu without the Cherry 5/5 Coffee 10/5
The coffee was genuinely fantastic.. a simple cappuccino but better than any coffee shop or cafe.
Ambience 5/5 Service 5/5 Staff behaviour 4/5 Variety of food 5/5 Cost value 3/5 (slightly expensive for the sushi) Overall 5/5
Loved the experience, going back...
Read moreA tad overpriced. But I suppose, good quality entails a price tag. Food here is very good. The sushi is a must try. The fish was super fresh. They didn't use mayo like most "sushi houses" in Delhi do. I wouldn't say it's completely authentic even though it's listed as a Japanese restaurant. I would say it's more Pan Asian. Apart from the sushi, we ordered the pork belly- it tender and packed with flavour. The Thai Green Curry, though, was the best dish we ordered. It was tart, sweet and had a generous helping of fish sauce. So good.
The amebince, however, was a bit odd. The couches aren't that comfortable and there isn't any proper seating. It's all super causal. Odd, for a fine dining restaurant.
Regardless of the atmosphere, give this one a shot. Especially the Thai Green Curry. You won't be...
