Review for Nik Bakers - Sector 5 Outlet

I've been a loyal customer of Nik Bakers for nearly 15 years, but my recent experiences at the Sector 5 outlet have been extremely disappointing due to the increasingly rude and inattentive staff.

Firstly, I went in for a blueberry cheesecake shake, only to be told it wasn't available. However, I noticed slices of blueberry cheesecake on display. When I pointed this out, they admitted their mistake but took my order reluctantly. Worse still, instead of the shake I requested, they served me a slice of cake. When I pointed out their mistake, the staff member insisted I had ordered incorrectly, which was frustrating and unprofessional.

On another occasion, I ordered a takeaway cake shake, but the cup size was not standard and didn't fit in my car's cup holder. I requested a takeaway cardboard case to prevent spills, only to be told that they don't provide cases for single orders. This had never been an issue before, and it felt like a new, unfriendly policy at this particular outlet.

While I continue to enjoy Nik Bakers when I'm home in the tricity, especially compared to my preference for Starbucks when I'm elsewhere, the Sector 5 outlet's staff is the exception to an otherwise pleasant experience at other locations. I had ordered a 1 kg chocolate praline cake on 3rd, to be delivered on 5th Dec 2020. I wanted the cake at 4 Dec 2020 at night since the person whose birthday it was had to leave for work urgently. Since I've a more than decade association with Nik bakers and have been a loyal and enthusiastic customer I requested them for delivering it to me a bit early on 4th night. Not only was the manager at the panchkula branch discourteous he curtly told me that cake can't be given and also order won't be cancelled. I wrote their management a mail which hasn't been responded till date. The manager told us that it takes 2-3 hrs to bake the cake and we'd ordered the cake at 10 am on 4th, still he didn't get it delivered, instead asked me to buy 2 cakes. In the night he finally gave us an old 800g cake grudgingly that too at the price of 1 kg which never got delivered in the first place. Service industry requires innovation and catering to guest's sudden requirements but Nik bakers miserably failed. Open Letter to Nik Bakers I am a frequent visitor to your Panchkula outlet and always admired the quality of food served at your outlets.

Today I visited your your Panchkula store with my 5 year old daughter and ordered for Paneer Tikka pizza at Table No. 10. Although the order was late, but its always worth waiting for so I insisted my daughter to be patient.

When the Pizza came, presentation was very poor. Pizza had an prominent taste of vinegar (Maybe one of your sauce has that) and salt. I complained for the same to the manager at billing counter. After 5 minutes of waiting, he returned from kitchen and conveyed that the chef had confirmed that this the usual taste of pizza. I refused to accept his argument and decided to leave.

If this is your usual taste, then I must say that quality of food served at your place has really deteriorated over time. Customers pays premium at your outlet for quality food that he likes and not for poor tastes and sub standard behaviour imposed on them.
