I am a traveller from Tamil Nadu, currently staying at bir for few months now, and I have been to cafe Amaara quite a few times in the past two months.
Variety of menu: There are many Cafes in bir, but what sets apart this one from others, is the love for what they are doing, you can see that very clearly from the variety of menu starting from traditional south Indian food(I can vouch for this being an South Indian 🙂), to Tasty bombay based chats like Pav Bhaji and obviously all North Indian delicacies including Rajasthani Dal Baati churma, Gujarati Khaman Dhokla etc. Truly PAN INDIAN!🤟
Quality of food: Simply beautiful - I could see great efforts in selecting the ingredients for the food which makes the food magical , for example , I ate masala dosa and they have used high quality desi ghee over it, when they could have easily used a normal ghee , this shows the intentional effort to make the food very healthy and obviously tasty.
Location: The place is located in a peaceful location with majestic Himalayan mountains in the back drop, which looks like a desktop wallpaper🙂and obviously great view especially during sunsets. You won’t regret going there when you have a bad day! It will make your day good!😎
Architecture: These days,if people want to do a business, they do only the business part and leave the passion ahead somewhere , but this cafe has been designed and built by the owner Rachana herself which is completely sustainable and go green type. No flashy stuffs, only simple but elegant😎.
Service: Rachana was very helpful and humble in all ways possible from selecting the food from menu , to customising based on individual needs and making sure you get the food on right time with a big smile on her face!🙂
Finally , this cafe is not like any other cafes in Bir billing. Here you can get an experience of a cafe in an authentic way, which will make your day good for sure! So don’t wait , go for it!!!🔥
Great work Rachana, inspired by...

The location has to be one of the major reasons for visiting this cafe, a perfect spot to see the famed Bir sunsets but subtract the crowd and chaos. It’s well designed and has a very rustic & earthen look. The hosts too are really warm & welcoming. They have an indoor seating which is aesthetically done along with open rooftop area which might I add is the best part. If you fancy playing outdoor games they have an outdoor section too.
All their raw ingredients are picked freshly from their farm next door ultimately giving you the best dining experience. Have tried so many dishes on their menu and none of them have disappointed. The owners are happy to customise the meal as per your taste buds too!
The kebabs are a must try, they’re soft, aromatic and melt in mouth, harabhara kebab and Shammi kebab are one of my favourites here. Their chat too is delicious and has a variety of options to chose from. The kachoris are freshly made and super flaky and flavourful. For people who can handle a bit of spice and love Bombay street food, give their misal pav a try. Another absolute favourite dish is the sabudana wada try it with some sweet yogurt and green chutney. For anyone looking for a heavier meal, do try their dal bati churma, it’s simple & reminds you of home!
Their menu has almost any and everything one can ask for hence making it an ideal place to hang out with a large group of people that have different food preferences.
I always keep coming back to this place during my every visit to Bir. The cafe truly is a hidden gem boasting of mesmerising views, good food and a great vibe! Must visit...

On a warm, laid-back afternoon, we stepped inside and were immediately enchanted by the rustic charm of Amaara's artistic interiors. Pipi, the adorable little dog, welcomed us and soon settled by the big blue-framed windows overlooking the farm.
I couldn't resist asking Rachana, our host, about the story behind this delightful place, and I’m so glad I did. The cafe is an eco-friendly project built from the ground up with thoughtful consideration of sustainable materials, which I truly appreciated. As we savored their flavorful palak patta chaat and pav bhaji (both highly recommended), Rachana shared her journey with us, transforming our quiet afternoon into a warm conversation about life and finding one’s calling.
We returned to Cafe Amaara later that night on our last day in Bir, unable to resist the allure of more delicious food and the stunning sunset from the terrace. We ended up staying for three hours, enjoying delightful conversations with both Rachana and Vishwas about their remarkable talents and inspiring journeys. I can’t recommend this place enough, and I can’t wait to come...
