A'La Liberty — Restaurant in Hyderabad

UPDATE: The GM spoke to me and promised to take care of the safety concerns. Will check on this if they are really confirming to it when I pay my next visit here! Till then, status quo prevails on the review.

REVIEW:- Now giving this place a bad rating is not what I'd have liked. At the outset, let me be candid enough to admit that this used to be one of my favorite spots to dineout in the city of Nizams. On my recent visit, the observations I had made for a less than satisfying experience.

The food here is good and so is the staff. There are a few odd days but then nothing in life has a constant attached to it so we can give that leverage. On a recent public holiday, we had paid them a visit. Since it was a holiday, it is expected that more people would be thronging places like restaurants. We were the first ones there but then slowly and surely the crowd started to build up and then the service, the pace of it and most importantly the safety measures started getting tossed out of the window one by one.

It was clear that they were understaffed and under prepared to manage a decent crowd. Most of the people opted for the buffet and the serving time had a lag which the staff themselves acknowledged and we understood it. What baffles me is why on earth were the safety measures to be followed in times like these compromised??

You wear a mask for a reason! It's not for show. True, one might get uncomfortable wearing it for a prolonged period of time but if you need to take a breath, please do not do so in the premises. A few of them had it dangling for a long time with both the nose and mouth exposed. Pray tell me is it not a risk?

The salt and pepper shakers from our table were taken right from our table and given to the adjacent one. No sanitization or any worries from the person who did that. That the next door table accepted is even more shocking and in these troubled times, I wonder if people are naive or just don't care until they realise it's too late and we are mere mortals.

All the tables adjacent to us were occupied. No concept of leaving the adjacent table marked out which I saw in many other restaurants. Shows a lack of concern and seriousness altogether. One must realise that this compromises not only the safety of their patron customers but also of the employees working there.

They pay quite an emphasis on giving a review in Zomato and I had given a five star review quite some time back for the experience. I have modified it now and given an updated one keeping in mind the current situation. Everything can be good but if safety is not a priority, I'm no longer visiting that place and would advise everyone to take a call based on good judgement and keeping in mind the health of their families, friends and...

Went to this place with a big group of 19 to celebrate my son's birthday. Had the worst experience possible. Had to wait for an hour to get the table even though we had reserved the table in the morning. We had senior citizens who had sugar and children who were hungry. They kept telling that it would be ready in 15 minutes and kept us waiting. The way the front desk spoke to us was very unprofessional. They were very rude. I would have just walked away had it not been for the other guests whom we had invited. After long wait, we got the table but it was not cleaned. They took another 15 minutes to clean the tables and arrange the plates. They did not even bother to place the table mats and arrange the plates properly Starters were served without the chutney and ketchup. When we asked them to serve the chutney, they just got a bowl with chutney without spoon. Again, had to remind the waiter that the spoon is needed. The waiter was also clearly getting agitated and was being rude to us. He was visibly overworked. They needed more staff and they were unable to manage the guest. The juice counter did not have glasses. Even after telling them 2-3 times, someone came with just 1-2 glasses when more than 5-6 people were waiting The soup bowls and plates were not very clean. The pani puri glass was broken. Many waiters were crowded near the Buffet table to get their order for Roti and hence blocking the way to get the noodles and other items around that Food quality was not great. The vegetables in biryani was too salty. The paneer sabzi also had lot of salt. Rest of the items were okay.

Overall, it felt like waste of money for the kind of food and service. It was huge embarrassment for me and my family in front of the guest. Definitely not a place I...

A'La Liberty, a pure Vegetarian Restaurant is located at 2nd Floor in Leela Gopal Towers, road No.12, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. This place is a Vital part of Central Hyderabad. Valet Car Parking, Lift to the second floor makes this restaurant a friendly one apart from the taste of the food. The comfortable seating and a very good ambiance make this place a perfect place for a family gathering. A variety of dishes that we get in North Indian, Continental, and Asian cuisines make this Restaurant an ideal preference for diners in the city of Hyderabad. This restaurant is also an ideal place for people who want to go for an elaborate buffet in the Vegetarian category. The food was exceptionally good right from the starters. Many choices in Starters, varieties of Rotis, Chat, choices of curries, Rice etc were all mouth watering. The restaurant is a must visit if you are in Hyderabad & a vegetarian. They serve a la carte and buffet both. But the buffet is amazing. Spread is really good. Taste of items is really good. Chat,Italian, north indian, 4-5 starters, sweets, ice cream. This place is awesome for the vegetarian buffet, is always on point on its delivery of taste , service and quality. It has an amazing spread of buffet and awesome tasting dishes. The staff is another add on to this place...they are very cooperative and the service is at their best.
