We stayed in this hotel on a recent weekend trip to Hyderabad. ||Pros: |- Located in Banjara Hills. It was pretty close to the places that we wanted to visit. Autos are easy to find at a distance of a 5-minute walk from the hotel. |- Value for money, if one is looking for a decent facility to stay with family.|- Clean and neat.|- We ordered dinner one night and the food was pretty good. Not really restaurant-quality but quite homely in taste. It felt great to eat it as we had been eating out mostly. The tawa rotis/phulkas were excellent!||Cons:|- Difficult to find this place especially if one doesn't have a GPS-enabled smartphone. Locals are unaware as to its existence! In fact, the main landmark to this hotel is that its behind a cemetery.|- Room service shuts at 10:30 PM. If you are checking in late at night, carry your own food or be prepared to go hungry. |- Buffet breakfast is really not worth it. The food looks completely unappetising. The butter served with the toast was rancid and stank of garlic. The servers are unaware that a toast means nicely brown toasted bread and not warm bread. The tea is made in the morning in bulk and subsequently re-heated (to a tepid warmth) and served through the day much to the chagrin of my husband. Coffee was too strong (wasn't filter coffee). |- Service is not up to the mark. The servers kept forgetting to bring cutlery and had to be reminded each time. |- Bathrooms are constructed weirdly. At least the one that was attached to our room...
Read moreThe Gen 1589 hotels is the same as guest inn suites, do not get fooled as the rooms are normal standard rooms , small in size & old world property , so there are no suites as the name suggests , on check inn they gave me a deluxe room which was not upto the mark so requested Mr. abhiram to change which they did willingly to third floor 310 room which was a tad better premium room neat & clean , no views as they are in a small lane off Banjara road so dont get fooled as its nowhere close to the markets , all are a good 2 -3 kms away , but this is a quite property , ideal if you just want to go & sleep in the night & have rest,||the hotel staff is good & coperative , they served us a excellent breakfast in the morning at their roof top terrace , please go there as the view is fantastic & you can see the whole of town & the lake in between if the sky is clear, enjoyed the parathas & idlis , grilled snadwiches ,so thanks to Sharmaji .||the overall experience was average as hotel in deep in a lane off bajara hills & the rooms are crampy .||Please also request managemet to put a signboard outside the lane as we searched a while before we found this lane , so guys , look into this .||So go there if you have work in Jubilee hills or banjara hill around . ...
Read moreThe rooms were large and clean- very modern bathroom, but hardy any hot water...even own balcony. I planned to extend my stay for another week and asked for the same rate- the receptions made me wait 3 hours for a reply and then tried to increase rate by 300 a night- when I checked out they then offered me same rate, but I had already booked another hotel and was not impressed by wasting half my day dealing with it.||The staff are a little over friendly for my liking- everytime I ordered food the waiters wouldnt leave- they just stood there staring at me and made me very uncomfortable. They were cheeky with asking fir tips- wanting to keep the change even when it was over 300 rupees. ..I always tip, bit thought the way they demanded it was rude- another waiter kept asking for me to give him cigarettes!!!||Overall its a good hotel in a quiet area. Its only a short walk to the main street where there are plenty of shops abd restaurants- even a small...
