Absolute Barbecues(AB’s) is a casual dining experience with it’s extraordinary D-I-Y concept that serves a large spread of veg and non veg dishes carefully selected from world cuisines. They have recently opened this new outlet at Raniganj, Secunderabad and is currently the talk of the town.

We were invited for a food blogger’s meet and the review for the session is as follows:

Soup: The ‘Lemon Coriander Soup’ was a hearty, subtle and comforting. The ‘Chicken Dumpling Soup’ was equally delectable and contained essential oriental flavours.

Bread on Counter: The Focaccia breads , Fancy Rolls were my favourite out of the lot.

Salad Bar: My favourite out of the lot was ‘Russian Salad’ , ‘Pasta Salad’ that had burst of flavours and were good health alternatives.

Chaat Counter: I was amazed by their ‘Pav Bhaji’ which was buttery and soulful. They also serve ‘Pani puri’ , ‘Dahi puri’, ‘Sev Puri’ etc. which were amazing.

Pizza Counter: The made to order pizzas had a thin crust, loaded with toppings and cheese, indeed a must try counter.

Table Grill: The ‘Tandoori Tangdi’ had chicken drumsticks pre smoked in a tandoor kiln which was hot and spicy. The ‘Coastal BBQ Prawns’ were freshly made and put on the grill for consumption. The ‘Mutton Seekh Kebab’ had melt in the mouth kebabs made from mutton mince, well seasoned with signature spices. The ‘Reshmi Murg Tikka’ was a bit on the drier side as per my palate. The mustard Garlic fish was fresh and well seasoned. Out of the vegetarian lot, my absolute favourites were ‘Crispy Corn’ , ‘American Cheese Potato’ and ‘Churasco Pineapple’

Wish Grill Counter: The wish grill had a large varieties of exotic seafoods and meat like duck, rabbit emu, shark, chicken etc. to choose from that can be paired with a homemade BBQ, sauce into a noteworthy dish as per our liking. Do try their ‘Egg Frittata’ and BBQ Chicken’ and thank me later.

Main Course Buffet: The sumptuous ‘Chicken Dum Biriyani’ was aromatic and had authentic Hyderabadi flavours. The ‘Dum Ka Mutton’ was another guilty indulgence for me. The ‘Steamed rice’ with ‘Dal Tadka’ and ‘Sri Lankan Fish Curry’ tasted Heavenly. The ‘Burnt Garlic Noodles’ paired well with the spicy ‘Chilli Chicken’. Had also order ‘Garlic Naan’ along with ‘Tawa Veg’, ‘Daal Makhni’ and ‘Butter Chicken’ which was pretty average.

Desserts: The live ‘Jalebi’ counter ensured that we had freshly made hot crunchy jalebis. They also have a desire bar stacked with many Indian sweets and bakes, my favourite were ‘phirni, ,’chocolate balls’,’rasmalai’. The ‘Angoori Gulabjamun’ should not be missed in any case. The live Stonecold Ice cream has a signature ‘Paan Ice cream’ that should not be missed too. . I had giving this genuine review please go through this entire review before you planning to go to this AB's Barbecues secunderabad

Firstly we had entire into the restaurant with a huge expectations and for this we had research the top restaurant by believing in rating we had had found it

1.Firstly we had entered into the restaurant with high on expectations and when we entered also no one is caring and giving the guidance we seated anyway We had ordered like firstly bring the starters they had played the smart move even though we had mentioned like being non veg fish,chicken,prawns starters and they were smartly bring entire veg items and they are trying to convince with that items like taste it

2.After some time we had ordered the pulka roti even they are taking much more time to bring every item The main thing was we had completed the food and waiting for the next items simply they was looking to us watching but they were not coming to take the order

3.Next we had ordered the chicken leg kebab piece by this that we say is it freshly made food and immediately the waiter say like it is fresh then we said ok and had tasted the food Even anyone can't imagine I'm suprised like the food was really frozen food I'm damn sure the food is stored from past 2-3days really if we take that food definately we are going to face the health issues

4.Next we had given the order to bring the pulka roti even in that simply they pour the oil and give it to us

5.Nextly we had ordered the masala gupchup and they bring like nothing in the gupchup simply they added the cool curd in it and give it to us even though I said like please make the hot masala gupchup

6.Next we had gone for the rice items and curries and papads The main thing in this restaurant I notice most of the items are frozen one and unhygienic food

Even there was the only few items and the few items was even not there There is no proper maintenance and there is no man power

7.In this restaurant every item was bad apart from cakes and icecreams like I found some of starters looks good thatsit

Everything here is stored food and unhygienic

Even the multiple times the manager was coming to us asking any problem even though we are explaining these every thing to the manager he was simply answering like good and good sir

8.I'm damn sure saying like if you go to this restaurant you will face the hell lot of health issues

Even you can think like we are paying huge amount for this buffet and we are paying the money for getting the health issues here not for the quality food

Really i never tasted and never found this kind of unhygienic food anywhere till now

Not worth it, normal resturant gives you better taste with less Bill.

I recently visited Absolute Barbecue in Secunderabad, and my experience was a mix of positives and significant disappointments. The restaurant certainly has its charm, but there are notable areas that need improvement.

First and foremost, I must commend the staff for their exceptional politeness and hard-working dedication. From the moment we entered, the staff greeted us warmly and ensured we were comfortable. They were attentive and quick to address any requests we had. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to make our dining experience pleasant were evident throughout our visit. It is clear that the team takes pride in their work, and their effort to provide good service is commendable.

At live counter I like french mustard sauce with chicken try once. There is a chef who can tell you which good. Don't skip live counter. But the variety in meats not good.

I said several times we need deep bbq prawns, they always give uncooked one's,😡

However, despite the excellent service, the dining experience was marred by a notable lack of variety in the food offerings. For a restaurant that brands itself as a barbecue specialist, I expected a broader and more exciting array of dishes. The selection was quite limited, especially compared to other barbecue places I’ve visited. The starters, although well-cooked, became repetitive after a while. There seemed to be a lack of creativity in the menu, with most items tasting quite similar.

The main course was also a letdown. While the quality of the food was decent, the options were disappointingly few. There were very few vegetarian choices, which is a significant drawback considering the diverse dietary preferences of customers. Moreover, the few available dishes lacked the flavor and uniqueness one would expect from a barbecue restaurant. I found myself wishing for more innovative and varied options that would make the meal memorable.

Another aspect that added to the disappointment was the dessert section. It was quite basic, with limited choices that didn't excite the palate. A good dessert spread can often redeem a dining experience, but unfortunately, this was not the case here.

The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant enough, but it couldn't make up for the lack of variety in the food. The concept of live grilling at the table is appealing, but without a wide range of options to grill, it loses its charm quickly.

In conclusion, while the staff at Absolute Barbecue in Secunderabad deserves praise for their politeness and hard work, the restaurant falls short in providing a varied and exciting menu. For a place that specializes in barbecue, it is disappointing to see such a limited selection. If they can improve their menu and offer a broader range of dishes, it would significantly enhance the overall dining experience. Until then,
