Mandi King Xclusive — Restaurant in Hyderabad

Update [29th May ] This time we ordered the garlic fish which we found to be really nice 6/5

For my birthday celebrations, we decided to go here for dinner as it was strongly recommended by our relative.

Venue/Ambiance 5/5 The décor is amazing, from the lighting to the marble flour, very spacious and lively.... the table was wooden with a laminate

Now the waiter told us that the place opened on 17th November. Yet the laminate seems to give out some color when you run a tissue paper on it for our table [T-01]. It did not stain our hands or elbows.

Starter 5/5 Mutton soup [Complementary, no pieced but rich in fat and flavor] Crispy Fried Prawns Fish Barbeque Tandoor Roti x 2

The crispy fried prawns where nice and I recommend that you have them with the garlic mayo dip. The barbeque fish was very nice and the accompanying green chutney was amazing.

Mutton Juicy Mandi [Full]

So comparing it other mandi's and the traditional mandi... it is more of a hyderabadi influenced one with lots of dry fruits... the juicy mutton was very soft and delicious, it is covered in a gravy which tastes very well with the rice, the accompanying traditional tomato curry is spot on and the other was a garlic mayonnaise.

Desserts 5/5 [ I personally feel it deserved 6]

Kunafa

The kunafa so far is the best kunafa I have had in Hyderabad. I personally felt that by serving the sweet sugar syrup on the side and the use of really fresh [and a lot] of good cheese, the kunafa alone was really nice. you can pour the syrup to make it sweeter or less dry personally. This allowed everyone to enjoy it the way they like it.

Overall, Their service was nice and friendly. they struggle a little with english but they are super friendly. I will definately return with my friends for the barbeque fish...

I went to meet my friends, I was the first one to arrive & as soon as I went, they offered me delicious soup. I suggested they serve me along with others later when they all come. They politely said, don't worry, we'll serve you too again with them. Unfortunately the plan changed & we had to abort. I went to pay for the soup, the cashier refused to accept & sweetly said, it's complimentary, to which I said I took nothing else, so how could it be complimentary. The waiter who served said, we can serve it again to you or to the rest of us who arrived late. This hospitality touched my heart. Awesome people with amazing heart, whose eyes are not on your pocket but your smiling lips & happy face. I shall definitely go there again soon, at least once, even though it's very far...

The mandi king xclusive will actually give you the feeling of exclusive if you are a person who likes private space in a restaurant. Spacious place. Food is good. I tried their al-faham chicken mandi which was good but the rice seemed a bit dry and the chicken could have been more juicer. The quantity of the mandi was also good. Three people can have the whole thing. Their kunafa is something I really liked and the creamy texture was also very good as it was a little crunchy as well. The staff were good but in my opinion more training should be given to them regarding their personal hygiene and the behavior around customers. The place will be a good choice for celebrating birthday...
