Amara serves the most ridiculous, overhyped and overpriced Sunday brunch buffet in Hyderabad. When you pay INR 3540 per person, you expect the best culinary experience. But, unfortunately I felt cheated and deceived. The buffet spread was a joke. The only chicken starter was a puff. Fish and prawns starters were missing. There was no pan asian or Italian options and no live counters. No indian snacks were offered which is an integral part of any Sunday brunch, irrespective of the theme. The lamb roulade was cold and chewy which was supposed to be their special offering. It was’t great for vegetarians either as I could see only paneer tikka and baby corn chilly. They were serving cheap snacks like mad angles and bikaji mixture. I didn’t pay 3.5k to eat packaged snacks. Even the only chicken option in main course was Ambur Biryani. I fail to understand on what basis they charge so exorbitantly for the Sunday brunch. It’s my sincere request to everyone planning for a Sunday brunch at Amara to look somewhere else. I regret coming here and I want you all to save your money and avoid this terrible Sunday brunch at all costs!

Amara had us enthralled with delicious food and meticulously placed items Staff were attentive, kind and maintained great cleanliness and hygiene around the area Starters were variety of salads, hummus, soups and live counter of Chaat style items. We were blown away especially by Aloo Tikki Chaat along with other great items as well Tandoor items in appetizers were also good, especially Pineapple Main course offered a lot of vegetarian and non vegetarian gravies and Butter Chicken and Achari Baingan caught my eyes the most. Biryani and Noodles were mid. There was tandoori Live counter with tasty and well balanced naan and rotis Oh the Dessert! Amara staff did stupendous job done with sweet cravings. We enjoyed hot Kala Jamun the most along with coffee flavored cakes and muffins. Tarts could have been better but we are not complaining since other items literally blew our mind. Fine dining at it's best! 5 ⭐ performance We have been around for different fine dining places and Amara in Trident wins out of all of them.

Enjoyed a relaxed and well-curated lunch buffet at Amara, Trident Hyderabad. The spread had a good mix of Indian and international dishes. The cold mezze section was excellent — creamy hummus, baba ganoush, beetroot hummus, labneh, tzatziki, and more, paired with a wide assortment of fresh breads. The grilled chicken was tender and flavourful, while the Hyderabadi Murgh Biryani had a great aroma and balanced spice. The live counters added a nice interactive touch — we tried the fish in garlic, which was light and tasty, and the standout chapli kebab, crisp on the outside and well-spiced inside. The dessert section had a vibrant variety, beautifully presented and satisfying. Rounded it all off with a smooth cappuccino. Lovely ambience and courteous service made it a complete experience.

There's something very special about Amara Restaurant at Trident Hotel Hyderabad. It doesn't need a single bit of effort to boast about its magnetic pull towards it. There's something magical here that attracts. At least that's what happened to me during my stay here. While check-in at the hotel, it was late evening. I was hungry after my long journey. The front desk guy told me about the various restaurants when I enquired at the time of check-in. I intended to have a quick shower, get fresh, and enjoy my dinner. While talking to the reception guy I got to know Amara lives with 3 of her siblings in Trident Hotel Hyderabad. Amara is on the ground level of the hotel. It's the largest restaurant there.

Breakfast and dinner buffets happen here every day and on a grand scale. For buffet I was told by the chef, it's a 14 days cycle. So there's a chance of having the same menu on the 15th day if you are staying that long in the hotel. Believe me, the atmosphere here compels you to stay more than your initial plan. Whether you are here for the first time or umpteenth time, it doesn't matter actually. Every Stay is promisingly going to be memorable for sure. One level below to lobby or where Amara is, The Janak, an Indian restaurant. One level about the ground level is The Tuscany, an Italian restaurant with exquisite delicacies. The third sibling of Amara is The Ninety-Six, an exclusive bar at Trident Hotel Hyderabad.

I decided to have a quick bath in the room after check-in and then go to The Amara for buffet dinner. There were two reasons for zeroing down to Amara for dinner. First, this is the main restaurant. So I wanted to experience if first. Second, I wanted to enjoy the maximum variety of the buffet rather than just ordering 2-3 dishes in ala-carte. It was good that I took that decision. It was live music going on in the restaurant at that time that I enjoyed a lot going on sync with a fabulous buffet. The huge variety was there among starters and main-course dishes. Basically, I think it was 4-4 that is four veg and four non-veg starters. I completely enjoyed prawns, fish, and veg starters. Soup of the day was fantastic.

In the main course, I loved Ghar Wali Dal that was really special and actually as tasteful as well-cooked Dal we prepare at home. Parathas came from one of the live kitchen counters. Every dish in the desserts was so tempting and irresistible. I really had to control myself. After that, I had coffee in the room before going to bed. Buffet breakfast starts at 7am and goes till 10.30am. I had enough time to explore. I had a few of the healthy juices and extracts first. I had a chance to talk to one of the chefs at Trident Hotel Hyderabad, Chetan Jagdale to some insights about tasty food and his passionate drive in Trident. On his recommendation, I tried Rawa Uttapam and couldn't stop finishing every bit of it. It was too tasty to cross my limits of control quite easily.

Irani tea was fabulous. But how could I skip filter coffee? It was the best way to close my breakfast stint at Amara. Amara, as I said, has a distinct feature of welcoming everybody with full love and respect. That is the reason it was a house full in the night and the same scenario at breakfast. It's a grand experience at a grand place. It's an...

Went here for a buffet lunch on a Saturday and the food was meh. To start with, the spread is nothing much to speak of. For non-vegetarians, there were just 2 starters (fish & chicken), 2 curries (chicken & mutton) in the main course, a chicken biryani and some dry Thai Chicken dish that I didn't what to pair with. There were also some salads but let's not go there.

Non-Veg: Fish Hariyali Kebab - Good, with an excellent mint chutney to go with, highlight of the meal. Some Chinese Chicken Starter - Bland and cold Mutton Do Pyaza - Tasty but the mutton was tough, and the dish was underseasoned Chicken Dum Biryani - Had a weird, synthetic flavour. Can probably pass that off as Dum Biryani in some cities but not in Hyderabad. Mirchi ka Salan - This one was hilariously wide of the mark, and bland. Either the Chef doesn't know what a Salan should taste like or I don't. Chicken Salad - Bland Karikudi Chicken - Too weary to even try this

I normally don't touch vegetarian dishes but on this occasion, I had to. Veg: Aaloo Tikki (was called something else) - Decent Five Spice Paneer - I wonder if they meant to avoid 5 spices in the paneer cause again, it was bland, and the paneer was tough. Pesto Baby Potato - meh Dal Tadka - Good but lacked salt Moong Dal - Good, but again, lacked salt

Desserts: The "bland" theme continued with the Desserts as almost all of them lacked any sweetness. The Kala Jamun tried to make up for that by being too sweet. The cakes (Red Velvet and Chocolate) were the best.

Overall, I was very disappointed by the food and had it not been for the 50% discount coupon from Zomato, I would have probably given them a 1 star.

The service was quite good, as was the ambience but that's the least you expect from a...

The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a charming atmosphere that set the tone for a great meal. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who ensured our needs were met.
