Wanted a quick yet filling lunch after some brainstorming with the CEO yesterday so we both headed out hungry as horses to find a good non-vegetarian buffet spread nearby office (Gachibowli). The original plan was to enjoy the buffet at Novotel but decided to stop en route at the Minerva to try out something different. We weren't disappointed.

The Blue Fox dining lounge located on the first floor turned out to be a huge dining area with a large number of people enjoying the last lunch of their corporate working week with their teams and some others, with their families.

We opted for the buffet and it was a good decision. I did not go for the hot n sour chicken soup. The starters of Chicken Hariyali Kebab & Chicken Manchurian were nice. (Could have been a tad warmer though). This was followed by helpings of Fish Manchurian, Chicken Biryani and (for me, the piece de resistance), fresh prawn curried in a spinach gravy.

For the next round, I opted for the mutton curry (rather bone curry), plain rice and a roti. This was good too, except that I could not find much meat on the bones.

The salad bar was standard and well stocked. I missed looking at the vegetarian dishes, though not unconsciously :).

I was too full to try the sweet dishes on offer but my CEO had a decent plate load of a couple of them.

Overall, a good experience and one of the better buffets...

As regular customers of Blue Fox by Minerva, we’ve tried to give them the benefit of the doubt multiple times, but after yesterday's experience, we’ve had enough.

We found roaches in the soup, and the Paneer Majestic was so bad it felt like we were going to have digestion issues. We left our food halfway and walked out. This is not the first time we’ve had a poor experience here. Another dish, a deep-fried vegetable starter (I can’t even recall the name), was equally disgusting in taste.

While the ambience has always been a highlight and a reason we kept coming back, the repeated bad experiences overshadow it completely. The waiters bring all the food orders at once, which makes the dining experience chaotic.

The last straw was the cleanliness—or lack thereof. The basement parking, where they receive raw materials, is filthy and stinks, making us question the hygiene of the food served here.

We’ve tolerated these issues because of the sentimental value we had for this place and the previously decent food, but yesterday’s experience was the tipping point.

If the management doesn’t take drastic steps to fix these issues, I can’t see how they’ll retain loyal customers. For us, this is the end of the road with Blue Fox by Minerva, HITEC City. Highly...
