A very good restaurant in overall. It's situated in the ground floor. Parking is convenient (though I'm not sure about peak timings). The ambience is amazing, but the restaurant is a little small, so reservation is probably needed during peak timings. I was a little disappointed with the food. The food is nice but a little expensive. Offers Asian cuisine (not Indian). We went for lunch. The à la carte was expensive so went for the buffet. Veg was about 800 and Non-veg was 900. The non-vegetarian starters were good with chicken, boneless fish, lamb, prawns, chicken leg piece, and momos but starters for the vegetarian course weren't great, there was only corn and momos, and the rest were just varities of fried potato, but the mojito was perfect (most restaurants add too much mint) and though there were fewer dishes when compared to other restaurants, the main course was almost as good as the starters (normally I just skip the main course) though there were not too many dishes for non-vegetarians but the ones present (especially the noodles) tasted very godd tasted very good, but the dessert was bad with very few varieties which didn't taste very good at all (especially the pastry which was too sweet, but the whipped cream tasted fine). In overall it was decent for lunch although I feel you could visit better restaurants (like Absolute Barbecue) for the same price (the last time went AB's was a little...
Read moreMamagoto is an authentic pan Asian setup located in Kondapur. I was here one fine afternoon to try out their lunch buffet with my colleagues. First of all, the ambiance of the place is pretty simple. They have put various art paintings and pretty wall hangings.
The lunch spread had a decent range. The starters were served on the table and comprised of Chicken wings, chilli fish, chilli tofu, chicken dumplings etc. The appetizers were really tasty and quite delicious. My personal favorite of the lot was their chicken wings which had an even mix of sweet and spice to it.
Next up, for mains I had their Mix veg in schezwan sauce, Tofu black pepper, Thai green curry, Khao suey, Hawker style noodles and Lamb in chilli soya sauce. Amongst all the dishes, the commonality was that the usage of proper ingredients made them taste quite authentic and different from each other. The make your own khao suey counter was indeed a blessing for me. I simply relished their khao suey. The rich coconut broth was perfect for my palate.
For desserts, I had their chocolate spring rolls, darsan and ice cream. The spring rolls were served hot on the table and worked amazingly well with the smooth vanilla ice cream. The darsan was also good. All in all, I had an awesome experience...
Read moreAfter a long time, again we tried a buffet at this restaurant. I booked dinner buffet in Dineout. After arriving at the restaurant, staff said that the buffet is only for lunch time. However, after informing that I reserved for dinner buffet from Dineout, they accepted and served the buffet. Contrary to general buffet, they serve all the items to the table. Restaurant is small in area and I didn't find seating comfortable. Except salad and fruits they served all other items. The menu of buffet is already given in photos. The spread was as follows: Friums with sauce: complimentary Soups: Among soups, mixed veggies was ok, but khao suey was sweetish. Starters: Kongy crispy vegetables was a little bit raw. Potato in Singapori style was ok. Veg dumpling was good. Chilli paneer was ok. Main Course: Seasonal veg with chili basil sauce was good. Vegetables in panang curry didn't taste well. Tofu in Asian coriander sauce was just ok. Stir fried vegetables in burnt garlic was ok. Fried rice and noodles we're ok. Deserts: Coconut rolls were good. Pastry wasn't good. Honey noodles were good but don't search for almond flakes. Ice cream was ok. I felt that the amount charged is high for the food...
