Restaurant Review: Kapoor's Cafe - A Must-Try Vegetarian Delight in Banjara Hills
I recently had the opportunity to visit Kapoor's Cafe, and I must say that it left a lasting impression on me. Located in the vibrant area of Banjara Hills, this restaurant offers a delightful vegetarian dining experience. Here's my detailed review:
Let's start with the food. Kapoor's Cafe is famous for its wide variety of dishes, and there were a few standout items that truly impressed me. The Chole Bhature, Masala Papad, Cheesy Tawa Paneer Tikka, Paneer Paratha, Kid's Special Cheese Pizza Paratha, Rajma, Pindi Chole, and Lassi Patiala Glass were absolutely delicious and mouth-watering. Each dish showcased the rich flavors and authentic taste of Punjabi cuisine. If you visit this establishment, don't miss out on these delectable treats.
Moving on to the ambience, Kapoor's Cafe boasts a vibrant and bright setting. The Punjabi khat style seating adds a touch of traditional charm to the overall dining experience. The lively atmosphere creates a welcoming and enjoyable environment for families, friends, and couples alike.
However, I did come across one disappointment during my visit. Considering the large capacity of the restaurant, the restroom facilities were quite small. This may cause some discomfort for guests, especially during peak hours when the place tends to get crowded.
Speaking of crowds, it's worth noting that Kapoor's Cafe tends to be quite busy during weekends. While it is a spacious establishment, it is advisable to expect a short wait, mainly because of its popularity among locals. But do not be deterred by this, as the food and overall experience are certainly worth it.
On a positive note, Kapoor's Cafe offers valet car parking, which is a great convenience for those who prefer to drive to the restaurant.
In conclusion, Kapoor's Cafe stands as a must-visit vegetarian restaurant in Banjara Hills. Its delectable dishes, including the Chole Bhature, Masala Papad, Cheesy Tawa Paneer Tikka, Paneer Paratha, Kid's Special Cheese Pizza Paratha, Rajma, Pindi Chole, and Lassi Patiala Glass, truly deliver a fulfilling and authentic taste of North Indian cuisine. The vibrant and bright ambience, along with the Punjabi khat style seating, adds an extra touch of cultural charm. While the restroom facilities may be on the smaller side, and weekend visits may require a short wait, these minor inconveniences are easily overshadowed by the overall exceptional dining experience.
I highly recommend Kapoor's Cafe to all food enthusiasts seeking quality vegetarian fare in...

Food Visited Kapoor's Cafe with a family of 4 people.
We ordered Punjabi Paneer Curry, Rajma, Ghee Phulka, 6 layer Khasta Parota and Vegetable Pulao.
Rajma was excellent, would definitely visit here to have Rajma again! It's a must have dish here! Phulka was soft and really good. Khasta paratha was fine Vegetable Pulao was a bit oily. Punjabi Paneer Curry can be skipped and other paneer dishes could definitely be better than this!
Overall food was good and a must visit place to have authentic Punjabi food.
Atmosphere Is fine, offers a unique experience for people who want to sit on a Charpai Bed (Indian bed) 🛏️ and have food on the bed.
They also have chairs and tables for people who want to have normal seating like families or senior citizens.
My family was sitting at the end of the table seating area and they have a large standing air cooler that is noisy and loud which ruins the experience. Along with the loud music, it makes it difficult to talk with each other and listen to each other.
I would suggest that they get rid of the air cooler and upgrade the restaurant with a HVAC. This would improve the customer experience.
Service First of all I want to mention that Waiters are cordial and respectful.
I would rate the service to be poor at the moment, because:
They employ too few people because of which I think it ruins the experience for everybody when the place is crowded. From this stems a lot of issues like:
The waiters are too busy to attend to your table!
The waiters do not serve food, which I think is a big miss in the opportunity to improve the experience for customers.
Had to remind them multiple times to get an extra glass to have water.
Had to wait for a while to get the waiters attention which itself takes time because they are busy serving other customers.
Also we have to pay the bill at the counter while exiting. Which I believe is an issue as the waiters do not get a chance to receive tips from customers. Which potentially could be a factor in the poor customer service.
Verdict Hope Kapoor's Family takes these into consideration and improves their service, as it is a veg restaurant with good...
Read moreLet me start from the beginning.
We were 10 people and had called them to make reservation but said that they don't take reservations over phone but once when we went there we saw that they had already reserved a table for 20 members.
About the lift as there is cult fitness and AB's and only 1 working lift out of 2 we had to wait for 20 minutes for our turn we couldn't go by stairs as the hotel is on 5th floor.
We waited for table for about 15 minutes the hotel was at full capacity and no one came immediately to take our order had to call him multiple times to take the order.
We first ordered Tawa Paneer Tikka 2 plates so he got 1 plate in sometime didn't serve plates on our table and expected us to eat directly from the dish.
For the 2nd paneer dish we had to wait for more time.
We then placed order for Chole Bhature and Chole Kulche for which we again had to wait for 10 minutes. No one seem to be bothered about us there is no tissue on the table no fork I told a waiter thrice until he handed over us some tissues. Placed order for 2 Lassi and he served us at the end after we had all our food.
All in all the service is pathetic the staff is fire fighting no one cares about customers experience.
We had the following dishes and will rate them accordingly:
Tawa Paneer Tikka : 4 stars (it had a achari taste) Chole Bhature : 4 stars Chole Kulche : 3 stara Lassi : 5 stars (Lassi was very tasty and a little sweet) Kadai Paneer : 2 stars (Not very good) Roasted Masala Papad : 4 stars
All in all if you have lots of time to waste for average taste you should definitely go there to be treated like you are eating the...
