We are regular customers at mandi@36 banjara hills. It has been noticed that at the entrance the person whoever sits is very very rude, including the fat - fair manager inside... very bluntly rude. We mostly visit on our happy occasions, as we love the food, but the kind of treatment that we have been getting since the last 4 or 5 times is not acceptable....
On one of our visits to mandi@36 banjara hills, my small son of 5 years old, wanted to sit on the floor, but there was no place, I requested the fair manager to allow us to use the corner seating, but he very rudely denied it.. saying that it is for a bigger group...
My son kept crying and the manager didn't even show any kindness... we agreed to sit on the table and eat, but for the 1.5 to 2 hours that we were there, there was no big group that ever sat there...
These guys are ok with people waiting for hours... but can't make arrangements to accommodate 3 smaller groups in the same place if there are no bookings for big groups...
Today, When we requested for the closed cabins near the entrance as it was our Father's birthday and we had a big number of pax, the man at the entrance refused rudely saying it is for the personal use of MD of Mandi@36.
So we sat at different table, but what we noticed is that, they allowed other commoners to use that rooms... Why this partiality...?
No doubt the food at Mandi@36 is number 1 and also the quality is good... but the manners and behavior of the staff is so not acceptable...
The hotel and restaurant industry are known for their tehzeeb and service along with the food of course....
But this time it was very very disappointing...
I have attached the picture of the guy at the entrance, you can clearly see he has no interest in doing the job, no smile no matter how much the customers are talking nicely and making genuine requests... he was very very rude...
Thankfully the north Indian girl understood the situation and helped us have a ok meal after all the unpleasant moments we had...
I hope the MD will personally look into the behavior of...
Read moreThis is my 2nd visit to Mandi@36 My first visit was to jubilee hills branch where it's gave me a very good Experience but the 2nd visit banjara hills branch made not go back to mandi@36
Food-⭐⭐⭐ I ordered veg mandi because I moved with one of my vegetarian friend and extra chicken leg piece and a soft drink. For water there is no normal water available you need to order a water bottle.i tried there mutton and chicken mandi mutton was just outstanding in the jubliee hills branch now in banjara hills veg mandi included no vegetables only deep dry potatoes were garnished and chicken leg piece was not good at all total oily totally ended up leaving the food.
Service-zeroooo Literally I had waited for one & half for down sitting.the staff is not being able to manage the crowd no good response from manager.they are sending everyone inside but he is not sending 2 people for downsitting finally got tired and moved for table sitting.Biggest worst management I experienced.
Ambiance-⭐⭐⭐⭐ The ambiance look good. But if there is more down sitting it would be still better.Because mandi whole refers to have that experience of having mandi sitting down.so it's better to increase that and remaining it look decent. No clean washrooms at all.
Value for money-⭐⭐ The veg mandi itself costed 359 around and chicken piece was 140.according to my experience it's not really worthy to spend the amount at especially banjara hills branch. At jubilee hills you can spend as much you can.
Overall experience-⭐⭐ I just prefer and recommend not to move at all.You would...
Read moreI wish I had more of an appetite! The mood was ripe this afternoon as it had been a very long time since I had Mandi and on this occasion a friend who knew the neighbourhood suggested Mandi @ 36 in Jubilee Hills. Having seen the social media feeds for sometime now, I was truly looking forward to a taste here. Atmosphere As we parked in the basement of the building, we took the stairs and entered into what seemed like a cozy restaurant with plenty of seating. Along the periphery by the windows were the sit down tables where the slightly raised tables are where the large sharing plates are kept. We were seated promptly and handed the menu while being recommended the Al-Faham Chicken or the Mutton Mandi being their most popular items. Food We decided to go with the "small" Al-Faham Chicken Mandi little realising it was more than sufficient for two people. It wasn't to disappoint as the rice was filled with raisins and other goodies and the chicken piece was juicy and superbly well cooked. Add to that was the accompanying chutney, which for a change was thicker in consistency and well made! It was the perfect catalyst to enhance the flavours of the rice. Overall I look forward to visiting once again and trying the many dishes suggested from their menu. Ideally with a group of 4-5 solid...
