I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bikanervala, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. Located in the heart of the city, this restaurant offers a delightful blend of traditional Indian cuisine and a modern dining atmosphere. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted warmly by the staff and immediately felt welcomed.
The ambiance of Bikanervala is warm and inviting, with tasteful decor that reflects the rich cultural heritage of India. The seating arrangements are comfortable, and the overall layout of the restaurant is well-planned to ensure a relaxed dining experience. Whether you're dining alone, with family, or friends, Bikanervala provides a cozy setting for everyone.
Now, let's talk about the food. Bikanervala is renowned for its authentic Indian cuisine, and it certainly lives up to its reputation. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes from different regions of India, ensuring that there is something to satisfy every palate. I started with their famous chaat platter, which was an explosion of flavors. The samosas, pani puri, and dahi bhalla were all incredibly delicious and perfectly seasoned.
For the main course, I opted for the Rajasthani thali, and it was a true culinary delight. The thali consisted of a variety of dishes, including dal baati churma, gatte ki sabzi, and ker sangri. Each item was prepared with great care and attention to detail, and the flavors were simply outstanding. The breads were freshly made and served piping hot, adding to the overall dining experience.
The service at Bikanervala was exceptional. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to recommend dishes and provide insights into the different flavors and ingredients. The food arrived promptly, and the waitstaff ensured that I had everything I needed throughout the meal. The overall level of service truly enhanced my dining experience.
Another aspect worth mentioning is the cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant. The dining area, as well as the kitchen, were immaculately maintained, and I could see the staff adhering to proper hygiene protocols. This attention to cleanliness gave me confidence in the quality of the food being served.
In conclusion, my experience at Bikanervala was nothing short of excellent. The restaurant offers a delightful blend of traditional Indian cuisine, a pleasant ambiance, and exceptional service. Whether you're craving chaat, thali, or a variety of other Indian delicacies, Bikanervala is a must-visit. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable...
Read moreI had been to Bikanervala Basheerbagh branch and my experience was pretty good,This time I visited Bikanervala Banjara Hills with my Family and my experience was poor. Below is a detailed review of my experience.
Operations - I had a pre-booking done via Dineout for 9 PM slot,i reached on time at the restaurant and when I tried to check-in ,i was informed by the receptionist that even though I had pre-booked I will have to wait until there is a slot and he mentioned this is as per policy on Dineout, sounded absurd to me.Finally after 30 odd minutes I got a table.
Hygiene/Cleanliness - The Hygiene overall is Fine, although the Sofa's adjacent to fountains are damaged because of the water pouring in from the Fountain unfortunately I was alloted the table adjacent to the Fountain.
Food - I had opted for Ala Carte, the soup was average, the Paneer Tikka/Crispy corn/ Honey chilli potato starters were good,Apart from the Roti the Main Course was decent,The Rotis were unusually Thick and sticky. The Pulao was Average again.
Customer Service - Unfortunately I have not experienced a poorer Customer service than this for quite some time, looked like the managerial staff did not care about customer service and presumed customers would come anyways for dining.I write this based on my below experience.
Each Dish took around 30-45 mins to serve, when I was checking constantly with the Manager on what is causing this delay he had no clue and did not even bother to find out the reason.I had ordered my first dish at around 9:30 and it took more than 2 hrs rom their on to finish the dinner.
I was accompanied by my Nephew who is just 15 months old,i was continuously requesting for a baby chair and was not provided.
Overall it was a poor experience at Bikanervala Banjara Hills,I had never expected this from Bikanervala after the good experiences I have had at their...

I never thought I’d have to write a review like this, but what happened at Bikanervala was beyond unacceptable – it was outright dangerous. My boyfriend and I visited their outlet and made the unfortunate mistake of trying their Dry Raspberry sweet. From the first bite, something felt off – the taste was weird, the texture was stale, but we trusted the brand and assumed maybe it was just the style.
BIG MISTAKE.
By the next morning, I woke up violently ill – nausea, vomiting, cramps, diarrhea, the whole ordeal. Thought it would pass. It didn’t. I was bedridden for three full days with food poisoning, unable to eat, work, or even stand without feeling dizzy. And guess what? My boyfriend got just as sick – same symptoms, same timeline. It’s no coincidence. The only thing we both ate that was the same? That spoiled, disgusting Dry Raspberry sweet from Bikanervala.
What kind of food safety standards does this place follow? Do they even check the quality of their sweets? It is shocking and irresponsible that a reputed brand would serve sweets that are obviously spoiled or expired. We trusted this place, and it ended up putting both of us through days of agony.
No apologies. No follow-up. No accountability.
We’re lucky it wasn’t worse, but this could have been dangerous for someone older, someone with health issues, or even a child. I will NEVER set foot in a Bikanervala again and I strongly warn others – check everything you eat here, or better, just don’t go.
SHAMEFUL....
