Pathetic service, booked through oyo, got confirmation mail. On spot reaching hotel all rooms booked. We have to be stranded in the hotel reception without any intimation prior from either hotel or oyo.
Hotel manager claims rooms are full from past week. So how come they are still accepting bookings. Very poor service on part of the hotel due to negligence and carelessness. He didn't even have the curtesy to call us prior and inform us if he knew rooms were full from a week.
Hotel manager is very rude and careless. He said it is not our problem, talk to oyo. Oyo is like you're booking is confirmed and talk to manager. After 1 hr of confusion oyo is like we'll give you another alternate stay.
Pathetic coordination between oyo and this hotel. And some game the hotel manager was playing. End of the day customer has to suffer.
If the hotel management is not able to keep up your word by accepting booking through third party agencies like oyo then you should stop accepting bookings from third party app creating stress and unpleasant welcome to you're property. Because you people suck in handling 3rd party app customers with attitude of I can do anything. Simply you could have called us a day prior when you received the bookings through Oyo. But you won't because you're tremendous attitude of you're employees.
No response in calls from you're hotel reception at least when we call for confirmation, By chance we get some other contact from google and contact you're hotel manager he's like you're booked through Oyo app, so we don't know about you're bookings, you contact through Oyo only. We have stayed in many OYO partner hotels in multiple cities and opted for the same when we travelled to Hyderabad because we always had good experience.
In our opinion this property doesn't qualify for "Capital O" category. We have seen better facilities in OYO properties which are below this level. The building is comparatively old and we felt its not value for money.
Most of their staffs are hopeless and rude in nature. We have seen two staffs - one front desk person and a wallet parking driver, helpful and very polite to customers.
The mobile number given in the OYO portal is of an employee who has left the hotel an year ago(this person was good in handling customers though). Unfortunately, we had to call to the hotel reception to check the feasibility of early check-in and got very rude response. We do understand early check-in may not be feasible always, but the way they communicated was not professional at all.
Rooms are not cleaned unless you ask for it. Toiletries and complimentary water bottles are given only on demand. AC was useless, noisy like a helicopter and there was no remote to control it. We had to step on to the table and turn on/off. When we asked for a remote, the answer we got was "no remote sir".
There is a restaurant in the ground floor and food they served was really good. The behaviour of restaurant staffs were comparatively good.
We wouldn't recommend this property to anyone. Unless someone needs to stay near to this area - Parade Ground...

I checked in at Belson's Taj Mahal Hotel on 14 th of July 2024. The reception counter people are very arogant. They do not have any sort of coordination with the room service and house keeping team. The entire whole hotel , rooms, furniture everything has a typical bad odour of oldness. Nothing is maintained. Fan in the room has no regulator switch. Air conditioner doesn't work properly. You won't get hot water for bath and you have to request twice to the house keeping for getting a bucket of hot water for bath from outside. They don't bother to provide towels which are wet. They will not give you soap and shampoo until you request. Extra mattress has no cotton inside and you feel like sleeping on the floor.if you order for tea coffee food to be served in your room they immediately ask for bill amount even before you eat or drink it and don't provide bill. Dear friends people like us who travel with families always are in botheration to book a room in advance and we don't get to know all those problems with the hotel on internet. And we get trapped. I sincerely suggest that the owner and the manager of the Belson's Taj Mahal Hotel should stay at their own hotel as a customer and should pay and earn the experience what I and my family have earned! And my dear friends, at least you people who read my review will not get trapped to get bad experience at the Belson's Taj Mahal...
