Milano Ice Cream — Restaurant in Hyderabad

I’ve been here multiple times and I write as someone who’ll come here many times more. There’s so much that works for this place including their parking, beautiful location, excellent parlour vibe, spacious seating, a unique mix of icecreams, cakes, cookies and pastries- you might not like all of them, but odds are you’ll find one you do pretty fast, like their Tres Leches Cake, Lotus Cheesecake, Almond Flour cakes, Lemon Meringue. Pricing is on par with other high end establishments. What really, absolutely doesn’t work is their self serving style- they really should learn from the efficiency of McDonalds or try something different like a token system or just hire a plain old wait staff. It’s obvious they are understaffed as you wait and wait and wait amongst a chaos of people trying to get your bill taken by the staff and then wait more as they fulfill an order, which when it involves multiple items can take a long, long time. Very unprofessional. Next is the proud little notice that sits on their ice cream counter that declares they do not do sampling and they use Covid era rules as an excuse, which just comes across as...

Don’t go purely by the ice cream in the name of the establishment. This place is much more than an ice cream parlour.

The campus itself is huge for an ice cream establishment with seating facility for about 70-80 pax and car parking for about 10-15 cars inside. Valet facility is not available n this is probably the slightest thing which can make you raise that slight eyebrow because getting the car out can be a bit of a challenge especially with a raised bunker at the exit which needs skilful manoeuvring with high ground clearance.

The seating otherwise is both indoors as well as outdoors and is pleasant and comfortable with some ambient lightning in the outdoors too.

The spread is of course the gelatos, and a lot of other Italian n European desserts, confectionery as well as savoury bakes for both dine in as well as takeaway. Fare is good overall whatever you might try. You can comfortably have a bite to eat with your dessert here too.

Price points are quite reasonable for its location n spread.

Not a lot of option to choose from for egg free dietary preferences however.

Service: It's self-service here, and the staff seems to be in a rush, which might affect the overall experience.

Pricing: The pricing is decent, making it an affordable option for delicious ice cream treats.
