I’ve been to Lal Street 3-4 times before, and it was always a great experience. However, my recent visit was extremely disappointing and has left me no choice but to rate it 1 star.

I visited during what should have been the happy hours with my friends. We ordered a lot, expecting the usual 50% discount on food and drinks. But to our surprise, the staff informed us that there were no happy hours available - except for a beer bucket, which we didn’t prefer. This was shocking, as the happy hour food menu was the main reason I frequented Lal Street.

Feeling suspicious, I asked a friend to call and confirm whether the 50% happy hour menu was still in place. To my frustration, they confirmed it was. When I called myself, the staff initially admitted to having happy hours, but after I raised the issue, they changed their story again, claiming there were none. This back-and-forth was absurd and felt like a blatant scam.

At the time of billing, we had to pay the full amount, even though the happy hour timings (which were until 6:45 PM) were well within our visit. The dishonesty and inconsistency from the staff were shocking. It felt like an intentional trick to exploit customers, especially since we were just a small group of three women.

I’ve always been a genuine customer who appreciated Lal Street, but this incident has completely tarnished my opinion. It costs nothing to treat customers with honesty and respect. If you want to increase profits, come up with better business strategies instead of misleading patrons. The behavior of the staff, from denying happy hours to contradicting themselves repeatedly, was unacceptable.

I will never visit Lal Street again, and I sincerely hope the management addresses this kind of practice, especially by the waiters, before losing more...

We recently visited to celebrate one of our colleagues birthday with high hopes for a pleasant evening, but unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired and I felt compelled to share my disappointment in this review.

Firstly, the service was extremely slow, resulting in a significant delay in receiving our food. The wait was unreasonably long, leaving us feeling frustrated and hungry. It's disheartening when a venue fails to prioritize timely service, especially when customers are eagerly awaiting their meals and pay 9k as cover charges in advance.

Adding to the frustration was the pricing. The menu prices were exorbitant, given the quality and portion sizes of the food. It felt like a blatant attempt to take advantage of customers on Friday evening. Such unreasonable pricing is not only unfair but also damages the overall dining experience.

Furthermore, I was taken aback by the discriminatory policy enforced at the establishment. Men were not allowed on the dance floor, as if they were deemed a threat while the dance floor was almost empty. This kind of gender-based discrimination is not only outdated but also disrespectful. All individuals should have equal opportunities to enjoy themselves and express themselves freely without unnecessary restrictions or biases.

To make matters worse, when we voiced our concerns to the staff, their response was shockingly dismissive. Instead of addressing our grievances and attempting to rectify the situation, we were met with a condescending remark about the pub's supposed longevity and an indifference to our dissatisfaction. This lack of accountability and customer care is highly disappointing and reflects poorly on the establishment.

Therefore, save yourself from the disappointment. THEY DON'T DESERVE...

I MADE A MISTAKE, AND YOU DID TOO!

‘The Lal Street’ is a socially retarded establishment which is being managed by bunch of money-minded hypocrites.

We went-in last night as a 10 member group to celebrate a friend’s birthday. At the entry we had to pay an exorbitant cover charge for all boys in our group who couldn’t pair-up with a girl (as there were more boys and less girls). Once inside, the place was crowded and was playing average music. Food and drinks were expensive, but tasted just about okay, but the portions served didn’t justify the cost. The table-service was pathetic and it took several minutes for food preparation as well (we had to wait ~25-30 minutes each time we ordered something to eat). And worse of all - the dance floor which opened-up at 22:15 only allowed couple entry. So, although we were given entry as a group, we couldn’t enter the dance floor as a group. And when we confronted the manager about not informing us about this discriminatory policy and charging a hefty cover-charge for boys, he was totally indifferent about it. In fact he went as far to say that they didn’t care about our concern, our bad experience, or about us posting negative reviews about the place!

Yes, I made a mistake! By making a wrong choice to visit a place with discriminatory rules, poor customer service, rude staff and unfair trade practices. I would have appreciated had they disclosed upfront that although we are charging a cover charge for boys, we will not be allowing them on the dance floor, irrespective of whether you are going in as a group or solo. But they didn’t !! The Lal Street is minting money because either we are unaware of such rudimentary policies or we support them.

I MADE A MISTAKE, BUT IF YOU HAVEN’T, YOU CAN...

We had a very disappointing experience at Lal Street, and I feel compelled to share it — not out of hate, but out of genuine frustration, especially as someone from Hyderabad. We came here to celebrate my cousin’s birthday and spent around ₹12,000, expecting a good time. Unfortunately, the behavior of the staff and the overall atmosphere ruined it for us. 1. Uncomfortable Bias: Being from a Telugu-speaking state, it was upsetting to be questioned rudely by the bouncers with an indifferent and dismissive attitude — it felt like we were being treated differently just because we’re from the South. This isn’t about North vs. South, it’s about basic respect. 2. Music Preferences Ignored: Most of the crowd here are Telugu people, yet the playlist was almost entirely Hindi. While we respect all languages, we expected a mix, including English and Telugu songs. Constant Hindi tracks made it hard to enjoy the vibe. 3. Poor Customer Handling: At 11:30 PM, a bouncer asked us to pour leftover beer into a plastic cup and vacate the table — even though we had just placed the order at 11:20 PM. It felt like he was more interested in showing authority than assisting guests politely. 4. Disrespectful Behavior Towards Women: The most disturbing part — some staff members kept trying to make eye contact with the girls in our group, which made everyone extremely uncomfortable. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place for couples or groups with women. Overall, it was not the experience we expected after spending a significant amount. We hope the management takes this feedback seriously and brings some much-needed change.

Well the real Dalal Street would be more happening than this place. 1: please check the first photo that I have uploaded, it talks about the service charge and that too a little arrogantly, but Its fine if they are offering a quality service, which is not the case. Had to wait for 30+ mins to realise the order was not placed by the waiter. 2: We ordered Nawabi kebab ( which was the only tasty food item) the plate was a fancy one, but if you can't clean it up properly, do not keep such plates, it was dirty in the corners, please check the photo. 3: now we did not want to take risk of dirty fancy plates, we ordered a paneer paratha, which should be served with pickle and curd( as per the menu), but waiter just kept paratha and started to leave, When asked about the curd and the pickle he blabbered something in incomprehensible English and left, we had to call manager and complain, it took him another 15 mins to bring the curd and pickle. The reason was " It's a new menu and Chef did not know about it" Well, Shouldn't they be consulting chef while publishing new menu. 3: chicken lababdar: well I can tell you the ingredients - red chilli powder, onion, 4 portions of capsicum and 1 portion of chicken. TASTELESS. 4: Ambience is pretty cool and the dance floor is also spacious but DJ... haha ....he was playing "ae Dil hai mushkil sad songs" which was welcomed by huge noise but then nobody knew how to dance on it... I really want that DJ to try and dance on bulleya song. Overall experience was bad, it is clearly an over-hiped place.

I recently visited The Lal Street (Club & Kitchen) in Gachibowli, and my overall experience was really enjoyable. From the moment I entered, the atmosphere felt lively and welcoming, with good lighting, music, and a comfortable seating arrangement. The interiors are stylishly done, and the ambiance creates the perfect mood to relax with friends or colleagues after a long day. I ordered a few items during my visit, and the food was fresh, well presented, and tasted great. The menu has a good variety of options, and the staff were patient in explaining a few dishes I wasn’t familiar with. The service was also timely, and the staff made sure that everything was brought to the table without long waiting times. The bar section is well arranged, and the overall crowd felt decent and well managed. I noticed that the place maintains good hygiene, with clean tables and properly managed surroundings. Even though the place was busy, the staff ensured that guests were comfortable. The location of The Lal Street is also convenient, as it is easy to reach from the main Gachibowli area. Overall, my personal experience here was excellent, and I would recommend this place for anyone looking for good food, nice ambiance, and a lively hangout spot in Gachibowli.
