Mazzo, Marriott Executive Apartments — Restaurant in Hyderabad

Hey, Mazzo!

Bumped into this place for a dear one’s birthday! And this place didn’t disappoint us at all! It was classy to look at and scrumptious to taste at!

It were the early days of COVID 19 pandemic that was hitting our city! There were restrictions imposed on the serving of Alcohol throughout the city restaurants, therefore, Mazzo had to abide by the same! Hence, no Alcohol that day for us!

Well, so what we had no Alcohol served, we had some delicious lunch to satiate our tastebuds!

Let’s go through one by one:

You enter the Restaurant and to your left you see this beautiful poolside that attracts you in seconds!

We sat down on the table that could possibly have the closest view beyond the transparent glass separating us with the poolside!

We had ordered a couple of dishes and in while the order was being prepped they served us a good bunch of fryums!

Picking up those crunchy ones while looking at the poolside, listening to the elegant soft music in the background and by your dear friend, isn’t it a beautiful feeling ? Well, most definitely!

We had ordered for a couple of Mocktails. One was the Minty Mango and the other being the Pineapple Cobbler! They were pretty good!

So, swiftly moving on, here came by the Hyderabadi Tawa Machi. My goodness, it was one of the best dishes I had so far! The Machi (Fish) was cooked to perfection and with utmost flavour! It was just so delicious! A definite to-try dish!

Next was the Roasted Spring Chicken ! This is most definitely a pack of health and taste! Yes, you read it right! It was a good combination of Health and flavour! They served the chicken roasted breast, adding in vegetables like Broccoli, Mushroom, Tomatoes etc having no excess oil! It was flavourful with the Jus (the sauce) they served to pour on!

Well, being a Hyderabadi, could Biryani miss our tastebuds ? No, no, no! We ordered in Chicken Biryani, it took them a while to get it on the table and it was worth the wait! The very aroma of the Biryani while serving was enchanting! It was spicy to a perfect level and the rice was cooked very well too!

It was time to have something sweet, the best option was to grab some ice-cream and we called in for Chocolate ice-cream of all the flavours! It was yum too!

To sum up, it was a great experience of ambience, taste and service! Thank you Mazzo! You were fab!

On the B-day I was looking for a place which has outdoor/poolside sitting and after searching lots of places around including Prego which I also like, Mazzo by Marriot came up in the results while Zomato-ing and I thought why not to give it a shot.

Anyways, this place was in my list since long to explore but I was looking for an occasion or right time to visit and what could be better than a dinner date on your birthday!

So the table was booked for 6 PM. Though it sounds a little early for dinner but trust me, it is the best time to go to this place if you want to really enjoy it. Firstly, it was not at all crowded (also, it was the first day of workweek) with only 1 or 2 tables being occupied in the indoor sitting area and poolside was completely available for us to soak into the beautiful, calm environment. It was so calm and it felt like those places where you can forget the hustle & bustle around (literally so, as it was evening and the IT junta was rushing back to their abodes when we peeked down from the terrace). The soothing music was adding charm to the place.

We first ordered two Cappuccinos along with a Creamy Pesto Pasta to kick start the evening and ohhh man!!!!!!! the pasta was AAMAZINGGGGG!!!. Trust me, it was one of the best Pasta I had in a long time. May be the ambiance added to the taste! ;) It was perfectly cheesy, veggies were crunchy, and overall nicely done. Coffee was just the way it should be.

Pasta set the expectations high to try out more of their Menu and therefore we decided to go for Red Thai Curry with Jasmine Rice. By this time, it was already dark and more people have started coming.

We'd hope it would arrive as quickly as pasta did but to our surprise, it took ages to come :). I'm not exaggerating, it really took more than 30 minutes to arrive and we even thought of canceling the same but then as we say, "There is no sincere love than the love for food", and we waited and finally it came. The aroma was good and it felt delicious!! The presentation could have been better, the taste was fine however.

Overall, this place is definitely a COME BACK place if anyone wants to enjoy good food with an awesome view and relaxing atmosphere.

When you have something on your checklist for a long time, your hopes that it will be amazing are already high and it becomes difficult to please yourself even if one of the element in your experience goes missing. Mazzo was on my checklist for long and I'm really happy to say that it did not miss any element.

If you are looking for a romantic and peaceful dinner under the moonlight 🎑 on a rooftop beside a pool , I want you to visit Mazzo. Not only the experience, but also the food is delicious.

I had been here with a friend to celebrate their birthday 🎂 and this was the only thing I needed to mention the manager while I made my reservation. The staff was courteous and affable from the moment I entered the restaurant. To talk about the food, I had ordered only vegetarian food and my order is as below -

Drinks 🥂 Bull Frog (cocktail) - It is present explicitly under the Bartender recommends section and it was good and on the stronger side. Minty Mango (mocktail) - to complement the season of summer, I chose this and it was a pretty decent one.

Appetizers 🍢 Subz Shammi Kebab - the kebab was cooked to perfection and my favorite of the lot Achari Paneer Tikka - the flavors were perfectly balance Crispy Corn Kernels - while they tasted great, I'd like to highlight that they had a strong garlic content. So beware if you are someone who doesn't like the aroma or taste of garlic

Main Course 🥘 Vegetable Biryani - it was good, but was little more spicier than usual and if you are not someone with spicy buds, I recommend you mention that to the waiter or try it with the Raita (curd) which will help

Finally, to celebrate the birthday, the staff gathered around our table with a small chocolate brownie cake well presented and sang the birthday song. I'm sure people feel special after all this 😃

Although the menu is a bit expensive, I felt every penny spent worth the experience and food. I recommend you to make a reservation in advance, reach there early evening and spend some quality time with your loved ones.

I rate this place ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5 and suggest you to visit the restaurant on a day filled with moonlight.
