We visited Underdoggs earlier today with our office team after work, excited to unwind and enjoy some good food and drinks after a long day. Unfortunately, the overall experience turned out to be quite underwhelming and disappointing, especially considering the hype and high expectations we had going in.

To start with the positives, the ambience was really good. The place has a trendy vibe, good lighting, and a well-designed layout that's ideal for team outings or casual hangouts. The music was upbeat and well-curated, adding a lively vibe to the evening. The seating was comfortable, and there's no denying that the visual setup has been thoughtfully executed.

However, when it comes to food, the experience took a nosedive. We tried several items off the menu, and sadly, almost everything fell short of even basic expectations. The vegetarian kebabs and paneer tikka starters were passable at best, nothing memorable, but not terrible either. But things went downhill from there. The much-hyped onion rings tower was a complete letdown...overly salty with way too much use of peri peri and lacked its authentic flavor.

As a vegetarian, I wasn’t impressed, but even my non-vegetarian colleagues were visibly disappointed with what they were served. One consistent complaint across the board was the overuse of peri-peri seasoning and salt, which masked rather than enhanced the taste of the dishes.

On the dessert front, the options were limited to just two items. We opted for the tiramisu, which sadly did not live up to its name, what we received was more of a dry layered cake with barely any creaminess or flavor typically associated with a classic tiramisu. Definitely not worth ordering.

Now, coming to drinks, I stuck with a Hoegaarden, which was thankfully fine and served chilled. However, some of my colleagues who ordered whiskey-based drinks were quite unhappy, claiming the drinks were so diluted they tasted more like flavored water than anything else. For a place that presents itself as a sports bar, you'd expect the drinks to at least be on point, but sadly even that missed the mark.

One silver lining in this disappointing experience was the service. Our server Sadik was polite, attentive, and did his best to accommodate our requests. He checked on us regularly and ensured we were comfortable throughout, but unfortunately, good service alone couldn’t salvage a night of subpar food and watered-down drinks.

To sum it up, Underdoggs is a great-looking place with a promising vibe, but if you're going there hoping for a satisfying culinary experience or good cocktails, you might want to reconsider. With the quality of food and drinks being far from acceptable and most items falling short of their descriptions, this is not a place we would return to or recommend. Plenty of better options in and around that deliver both ambiance and taste.

I’ve visited Underdoggs Hyderabad 3 to 4 times, mainly for F1 screenings including a recent Sunday community event for F1 fans. While they call themselves a sports bar with plenty of TVs and a large screen, the actual viewing experience falls well short of expectations.

-Poor Streaming Quality None of the screens provide the immersive feel you'd expect from a sports bar. They don’t use proper streaming services, just a low-quality subscription that affects both video and audio, completely ruining the F1 experience. Even worse, they have a large screen behind the bar counter, which should be the main attraction. But the view is completely blocked by a massive beer tap. It's a clear case of poor planning that makes the best screen nearly unwatchable.

-No Interest in Feedback I tried giving suggestions to the staff and management, but they weren’t open to hearing any of it. They seem set in their ways and unwilling to improve the experience.

-Pushy Payment Policy One of the most frustrating parts is how the waiters make you pay the bill immediately after placing your order, even before the item is served. This really ruins the relaxed vibe you expect at a community viewing or social hangout.

-Overall Vibe If there were a better alternative for F1 or sports screenings in Hyderabad, I wouldn’t go back. The potential is there, but the execution is consistently...

We first visited for a corporate team event, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and served with great presentation. The mocktails and cocktails were crafted with care and offered a good mix of classics and creative blends. The music and sound system created a lively, engaging atmosphere that really brought our event to life. Service was prompt, friendly, and professional throughout.

Impressed by the quality, we came back again for the IPL Finals screening — and what a night it was! It felt like we were inside a stadium, with the DJ, dhol, and a buzzing crowd adding to the thrill of the match. The screen setup is incredible — 30+ screens placed all across the venue, including a surprising one even in the washrooms, so you never miss a moment.

Speaking of washrooms — they were very clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed with a full-length dressing mirror, which was a pleasant and unexpected touch.

Whether you’re planning a corporate outing, watching a big match, or just looking for a great place with excellent food and energy — Underdoggs delivers on every front. Definitely going back...
