During my recent visit to Mysore, I had the pleasure of enjoying a delightful and satisfying lunch that left me thoroughly impressed. Located in the heart of Mysore, this restaurant stands out for its exceptional food and top-notch service.
The meal was a feast for the senses. I started with a serving of perfectly cooked rice and soft chapatis that paired wonderfully with a spread of 6-7 flavorful curries. Each curry was distinct in its taste, offering a rich blend of spices and fresh ingredients. The variety of curries catered to different tastes, with some being mildly spiced and others packing a bit more heat, ensuring there was something for everyone.
The accompaniments were equally satisfying. The crisp papad added a nice crunch, perfectly complementing the curries. The Kesari, a sweet semolina dessert, was the perfect way to end the savory portion of the meal, with its rich and aromatic flavors. To top it off, the Gulab Jamun was divine – soft, sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth, offering a perfect balance to the spiced flavors of the meal.
What truly elevated the experience was the impeccable service. The staff were attentive, polite, and ensured that my needs were met without being intrusive. They were quick to refill the dishes and provide recommendations, making me feel well taken care of throughout the meal.
In conclusion, Hotel Mysore Refreshment offers a fantastic dining experience with amazing food, superb service, and a good ambience. Whether you're craving a hearty, flavorful meal or simply looking to enjoy some local specialties, this place is definitely worth a visit. I left feeling completely satisfied and would gladly return for another round of their...
Read moreHad the ghee roast dose, onion dose, khara baath (Upma) and the coffee.
The ghee roast at the restaurant wasn’t dripping ghee like some places, but it had the perfect amount. The texture of the chutney was not excessively coarse, but it did provide a noticeable sensation due to the coarseness of the coconut used. I give the ghee roast 8 out of 10 because it was a bit less roasted than I expected. Anyone else who likes a good roast kindly do request extra roast.
Upma/Khara Baath wasn’t spicy at all. It had a lot of ghee in it, which might have mellowed out the spiciness.
The coffee was strong, which I usually enjoy. I was surprised because I’ve noticed that restaurants often cut corners on quality when it comes to coffee. If you’re a coffee lover, you definitely have to try this place!
The car service provided was exceptional. The attendant promptly provided hot water for handwashing, ensuring that we could remove any oil or ghee from our fingers. Additionally, they generously offered tissues for...
Read moreThe best part of their menu is the masala dosa, a totally different style of dosa that we normally eat in bangalore. Always wanted to taste the original masala dosa, I think this met the standard. Other items included idli, vada, bajji, paper roast. The accompaniments were great chutney, sambar, butter and the tea was awesome. We will expect huge price tags, but for a change the bill was very reasonable. I think when the hungry traveller gets a decent tasty food at reasonable rates, then he will forget the ambience and enjoy the gourmet. The real meaning of food is in satisfying the inner.... I think this place is a...
