We visited Kimberly on Dec 26. Madikeri’s Raja’s Seat area was super crowded and this is the only cafe/restaurant close to Raja’s seat. So tourists actually don't have much options within a km radius, I suppose. The ambience was good but because the place was so crowded, service was very slow. There were only a couple of waiters attending to the guests in the top floor. After what seemed like forever, we received our order of egg fried rice and veg noodles. Both were bland and tasteless. No salt or spice. The fried rice tasted sour and it appeared the rice sat out for too long. We could not complete eating the fried rice as it was so bad. We realised there was no point complaining to the waiter as even to get the table cleaned before we could sit down took a good 10 minutes. Then it took forever to get the bill, we walked up to the counter, paid and left....
