First of all, the food: We ordered some beef dry fry, tangdi BBQ, beef ribs, chicken BBQ, chicken tandoori and some romali roti and butter naan with it. The beef dry fry, hot grill chicken or something(yep, I'll explain this in the service section) and chicken BBQ were good but the rest were disappointing. The chicken tandoori was burned to crisps and the meat on beef ribs was rubbery and chewy and that alone tells you how they've cooked it.
Secondly, the "Ambience": I genuinely don't know what aesthetic they were going for, but having food in a poorly lit place with a table which is not high enough to slide your legs or chair in, is not somewhere I want to be.
Lastly and most importantly the service: Even while taking the order, the guy was impatient to say the least. We ordered 'Tangdi BBQ' and he literally asked us "It's chicken drumsticks, you sure you wanna order?" and we said YES. Then after 15 mins or so of waiting, he brought us the Beef dry fry only. We waited a good 5 mins to see whether he'd be bringing us any bread to have with it, but nope. So we ended up having just the BDF and after 5-10 mins later, they brought the rest of the dishes. No fork or knives were provided to pull the meat out of the Beef ribs and funnily enough we received a mystery dish, instead of the Tangdi BBQ that we ordered. We thought that this was their "tangdi" BBQ and had it nevertheless. After finishing up the Rumali Rotis, we ordered two more and along with that, we ordered some Butter Naan and Chicken Tandoori as well. Now comes the stupid part. After taking the new order, the guy literally picks up our plates without even asking us if we were done eating or not. I genuinely have never experienced such "service" from any restaurants in my whole life and I've been to some ridiculous places. We gave him some plates, where we ate everything in it and took back the ones that still had food left. Now comes the bizarre part. Another guy comes and asks us if we'd like to have some refreshments. We ordered 3 mint lime from him and waited for the breads to arrive. The 3 mint lime juices came first 😂. Half an hour after bringing us the refreshments, did they bother to bring us the rest of the items that we ordered. When they gave us the bill is when I noticed that, we received some hot grill chicken dish instead of the Tangdi BBQ that we ordered. At that point, we were too pissed off to even point it out and just paid the bill and left.
The conclusion is this, even when there wasn't much of a rush, the personnel over there are not equipped to run this place smoothly. So, hire more people and train them properly before creating hype and attracting loads of...

Read more12 to 12 Bar-Be-Que in Kottayam offers a decent dining experience with some notable drawbacks.
The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, making it a good place to dine with friends or family. However, the seating arrangement can feel cramped during busy hours.
The barbecue dishes are flavorful, and the grilled items stand out as the best part of the menu. However, consistency in taste is an issue. Some dishes are perfectly prepared, while others feel rushed or underwhelming. The sides and accompaniments could use more attention to detail.
The staff is friendly and accommodating, but the service tends to be slow, especially when the restaurant is crowded. This can be frustrating for those on tight schedules.
A major inconvenience is the lack of proper parking. Guests have to park by taking over one lane of the highway, which can feel unsafe and chaotic during peak hours. This is something the management should address urgently.
While most dishes are reasonably priced, a few feel slightly overpriced considering the quality and experience.
12 to 12 Bar-Be-Que is worth a visit for its flavorful barbecue and decent ambiance, but there’s plenty of room for improvement. Better consistency in food, faster service, and a proper parking arrangement would make this restaurant a much better...
