I recently had breakfast at "Aariyaas Grand" near Kottayam Railway Station and was quite disappointed with the experience. We ordered poori masala, and when the bill arrived, we had a misunderstanding regarding the price. Instead of clarifying politely, the manager was extremely rude. He showed the menu and, in front of other customers, told me harshly in Tamil, â70 ruppees evde potturukkaâ : which was humiliating and very unprofessional.
As for the food, the poori was average at best. The masala and chutney were a complete letdown ! poor in taste, less in quantity, and overpriced for what was served. To make matters worse, the chutney was brought only after we had already finished two pooris!!

The ghee roast I ordered had a decent flavor, but it failed to impress me. While it was not terrible, it also didn't stand out as exceptional. The dish lacked that extra something to make it truly memorable. It would have been great to see more depth and complexity in the flavors.
On the positive side, the restaurant had a pleasant ambiance and the staff was courteous. The service was prompt, and I appreciate their attentiveness.

   Read moreRecently visited the restaurant..........tables and floors were clean.....but plates were dirty....for the large seating space...they could only maintain a small and narrow handwashing area. Food was just okay.....with relatively lower quantity.....service seemed not bad.....however the food served is not worth the price.They don't seem to dispose somebody else's leftover curries....I got a pot of tomato chutney with crumbs of puri and pieces of sambar under it.However...if you are a vegetarian and is tired of hunger you can go and eat...... not at all recommended...
