Arya Bhavan — Restaurant in Kerala

Recently bought two serve package of Onam Sadya from Arya bhavan. After tasting it is when I realised that I committed a mistake by wasting my money by placing order with them. I am not using any words to describe it as I don't want to disrespect the food. Its okay to be profit motive,but by compromising on quality and quantity of the food you serve may not be the right way. I have never had such a worst sadya anytime. The rice was not properly cooked. You charge Rs 700/- but could you justify the same for the quantity and especially the quality you offer. Would never prefer this place again. Would request all to rethink before placing orders for onam and vishu sadya. They charge extremely high rate for such poor quality food. They just one katori payasam for two people. Arya Bhawan(pure vegetarian) is one of the oldest hotels in Kozhikode city. It is situated in the heart of the city and amidst the most crowded shopping place known as SM Street. Radha theatre is close by. The restaurant is a traditional property displaying antique style. It can accommodate a large group. Their food is fine and rates are OK. Masala dosa is the favorite dishes. You can try the meals also. The Aryabhavan restaurant serves good vegetarian food in a town where most of the restaurants are serving mainly non-veg food. The dosas, poori masala, Uthappam, Chappathi or Porotta with kuruma etc are really tasty and fresh. Arya Bhavan is one of the few pure veg hotels in Calicut. Situated in the heart of the city,SM street, it's not seen from it as it's in Radha theater complex. Yesterday I had ghee dosa and tea. The quantity and quality of the dosa was very good. Today I had meals. You get two types of meals- normal for ₹60/ and special ₹100/ and also veg biryani. I took the normal one. They served cabbage bhaji, one gravy bhaji, raita,pickles, papad, fried chilli,curds. The rice they served was boiled rice. Those who want white rice, please check before purchasing the token. They serve sambar, dal. Rasam is kept on the table. They serve on plantain leaf. Unlimited food. As I had gone before 1pm, all items were fresh and hot. Service was good and quite neat.
