Been here on Jan 29th for dinner. Tiffin items were available. Members of my family tried plain dosa, Masala dosa and poori. Ghee roast dosa was good and tasty with the accompanying sambar and chutney. For poori the side dish item made of potato was too watery. On requesting the solid potato dish served inside masala dosa was provided for poori also. Coffee was very good. As dinner on Jan 29tb was satisfactory we, about 8 members decided to try their Lunch and visited on January 30th. The lunch served in banana leaves fell too short of our expectations.Rice could have been cooked a bit still. Sambar, pappad and one dish made of raw banana were only found to be tasty. Other three side dishes served as vegetables were very ordinary. The serving pattern to be improved a lot. For serving they do it from one side of the table only. The staff have to lean forward to serve the customer on the farther side of table which results either in spilling the sambar or their clothing touches the dishes making it awkward. The restriction on serving only one pappad needs to be revisited. Though we were ready for paying charges for extra papad, it wasn't served. The hotel has the habit of keeping rasam and curd in jars in the table itself. The quality of rasam and supposed to be curd was found wanting. Both were watery. The lids of the jars were too tight. The overflowing looks on the jar is sore to the eyes. Instead they have to serve it in the same way as sambar is being served. Rasam to be served hot. The charges of Rs 100/ for lunch is high compared to the quality of rasam and curds. In fact it was buttermilk only. As it's located in the temple vicinity parking is very difficult. Need to park far away and walk to...

Though the aim of visiting Guruvayoor is not to get a good food rather than getting the glory view of almighty, I wish to share my recent experience I had from this restaurant. It was a clear evening where there was no any much flow. I had ordered the masala dosa and tea . Not much waiting I got the dosa which looks the rice selected for that dosa doesn’t match and looks overcooked with some burnt portions.Without whining I had that and was about to drink some water where it look water jug was empty. Looking around ,there was a server walking towards our side, I asked for some water which he acknowledged with a deadly face and silence. Nearly 8 minutes I waited for the water which I can see the person I asked for the water has passed couple of times across our table where he showed his purposeful negligence for no reason. I was thinking for what reason a customer like me should pay and face such kind of unethical attitude which I can’t understand. While observing the overall service pattern what I understood is the servers are categorizing the customers based on their potentials for getting good amount as TIPS (if any). So if a server is attending a table, there won’t be any help we can expect from others because that table and tips (if any) belongs to that particular server which other servers are least bothered to help at least to get some water where they feel why should they do since they are not benefited.
If the management is not a part of this practice, your sudden intervention is required to stop this unethical way of dealing with the...

Ramakrishna Lunch Home, Guruvayur - Date: 31/01/2024, Wednesday, 9:15 PM
I recently had a disheartening experience at Ramakrishna Lunch Home on the mentioned date and time. Unfortunately, my visit was marred by several issues that I feel compelled to share.
Rude Behavior: The staff member who took my order displayed an inexplicable level of rudeness without any apparent reason. The lack of courtesy and failure to apologize for their behavior left a lasting negative impression.
Unhygienic Ambience: Upon entering the establishment, I couldn't help but notice the subpar hygiene standards. The overall ambience fell short of expectations, raising concerns about the cleanliness and upkeep of the place.
Rotten Food: To my dismay, the food served was far from satisfactory. I encountered rotten Chatni(With Ghee Road), which not only compromised the quality but also raised serious concerns about the kitchen's hygiene practices.
I believe these issues warrant attention from both the staff and management to ensure a better experience for future patrons. It is my hope that this feedback serves as constructive criticism, prompting improvements that will benefit the restaurant and...
