Dropped in while at Ernakulam or M.G. Road to check out this McDonald's outlet, next to Citibank. McDonald's location doesn't quite stand out, as it's slightly far and away from the sidewalk (walkable), somewhat opposite to Ibis or the Metro pillar and pretty close to the new (now open) Sri Krishna Sweets shop, near Padma Junction.
Bought carryouts on August 15, 2021 and it was very congested even being a Sunday. Dine in service wasn't provided due to COVID restrictions being observed in the state. My first impression of this particular McDonald's was pretty poor with no organization in place, especially with lack of social distancing, customers, delivery guys like either Uber Eats, Swiggy or Zomato, all crowded in a corner and in front of the check out corner and interestingly, kids running around! I was quite disappointed noticing the lack of hygiene, health and safety factors not being insisted or complied especially during the acute pandemic situation in Ernakulam, those days. No hand sanitizers were practically visible which was quite surprising!
The place in itself has a good decor as far as seating or relaxing. It was quite spacious. Cleanliness could be improved.
Ordered a combo meal of McChicken and hot tea as my beverage, if I remember correct. The prices were pretty reasonable costing me a total of only Rs. 112.00 which was paid in cash. I wasn't sure whether they would even accept global cards as form of payments! Decided not to take a chance!
There was a long wait because of the crowd. The crew were trying their best to cope with the situation, being pleasant, fast in taking the orders and trying to deliver them, even while they were also managing the multiple delivery orders or guys waiting!
As far as the food, the McChicken tasted bland with some dry and old lettuce (seldom eat or order) in it and missed any particular flavors. It was not very hot either, once I started having it. I haven't visited this particular...
Read moreMcDonald's Kochi MG Road offers a delightful dining experience with its blend of fast food convenience and flavorful offerings. The restaurant is well-located and provides a clean, spacious environment perfect for a quick meal or casual hangout.
One standout item on the menu is the Chicken Surprise Burger, which lives up to its name with an explosion of flavors. The burger features a tender chicken patty, crispy and seasoned to perfection. What makes it truly unique is the blend of fresh, crunchy vegetables and the special sauce that adds a tangy kick to every bite. The bun is soft and complements the filling without overpowering it. It’s a satisfying treat for those craving something beyond the usual chicken burger.
Pairing the burger with Cold Coffee is an excellent choice for those seeking a refreshing beverage. The cold coffee here is smooth, creamy, and perfectly sweetened, offering a cool contrast to the savory flavors of the burger. It’s neither too strong nor too light, making it a great option for coffee lovers looking to enjoy a chilled drink with their meal.
The service at this McDonald's location is prompt, and the staff is courteous. While the restaurant may get crowded during peak hours, the food quality remains consistent, and the dining experience is always enjoyable. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick snack or a full meal, McDonald's Kochi MG Road serves up a satisfying, flavorful experience with its Chicken Surprise Burger and Cold Coffee

Read moreWe had lunch last week here. These are the suggestions to improve as per my view. We ordered chicken fries for two, a burger, French fries and a soft drink and confirmed to be dine in. We were three and the food was served in one tray having two tissue papers and lots of tomato ketchups. We asked for paper plates as the chicken was too hot to handle. After our meal we discussed with the Manager on duty how experience in this outlet can be improved. He confirmed that we have to eat in the tray the food was served and it is steam washed to be sterile. In that case the outlet should provide us with three trays. One quick question to me was the paper which was kept on the tray was sterilized as well? The ink used is of edible quality? If tray is the option, then why paper plates were given on request. I suggest Management should prepare a video on how to eat at McDonalds and provide a QR code at your outlet. It will be of great help to people like me who are of Indian habits. The shop Manager told me he will write to you once the computer was free (It seems the system was very busy and he couldn't log the details when we were at the premise). Even if you serve the best food in the world and if I have to eat from the serving trays, I will never come to your...
