25Sep22: We have visited their outlet today to see if the experience is any different. This time it was less crowded and we could taste the food… It was delicious, we liked the podi butter idly the most. Felt little costly, but otherwise it was a good experience! Changing the rating from zero to 4! —————————————————————— 5Jun22: Visiting time: Sunday, 9:30am
We planned to visit this place, after hearing about the taste of the food served here. We were really excited to find the place.
The location is at a very narrow road at Palarivattom, where car parking is hectic. Somehow, we managed to park our vehicle within the maze of delivery executives' bikes (this was just the beginning) and stepped in. We had the worst experience ever.
There was a huge crowd within that small outlet which included the delivery app executives waiting to pick up their orders. There was no one at the counter and the restaurant guys did not bother to ask us for our order. After 15 mins or so, we managed to place our order (three set of idlis and tea) to a woman out there, as there was no one at the counter, still. We felt the restaurant guys failed to manage the orders and sounded very confused. We are not sure whether they have enough staff to handle the situation. They quarreled and blamed each other since number of orders are too much for them to handle and finally, a guy came down and sat at the counter. We reminded him about our order and he just nodded.
After few more minutes, he was telling a customer 'please do not place orders on holidays'.. Not sure what he meant. If thats the case, he could have kept the restaurant closed on holidays 🤭 We were watching all this drama, with empty stomach awaiting for the yummy idlis.
We could see the delivery executives are leaving with the parcels and still, there were no signs of our order. Again, we checked with the guy at the counter. This time, he asked the lady inside, on the status of our order and she said 'its getting ready'.
Our wait continued for another 15-20 mins. Meanwhile, we just scanned through the menu and we found the taxes and parcel charges are additional to what is written against each dish and moreover, for extra chutney, again extra money has to be paid. The funniest part is that the wait time given is 8-12 mins. Thats ok, but, what they give in return is a very bad customer experience.
After few more minutes, we started feeling that our wait is useless and there was no clue about our order. Whenever we asked, they say 'its getting ready' ,😑 We waited waited and waited.. After waiting for nearly an hour, we decided to leave if the order is not ready. While we asked, they responded in such a way that they had no idea about our order. The sad part is that they do not bother to respect our time or give us a polite response. Finally, we decided to cancel and leave. Surprisingly, when we told them to cancel the order, they seems to be not bothered rather happy that one order is gone and without looking at us or apologising, they guy said 'ok, carry on!!!', as if he was expecting us to 'get lost' 🤨
Everything we experienced from that outlet was so disrespectful and disappointing. So, my advise to the outlet would be to only accept the orders that you can handle, respect customers who are coming from far away places to experience your food!!
Unfortunately, no comments on the food, since, we were not able to experience the taste due to the disappointing customer service and the attitude of the people at the outlet !!..Not at all, a recommendation...

So me and my friend keep hunting for nice , tasty food places around work. We were talking about Bengaluru Thattu idly sometime back and when he found Raman idli shop at kochi we were super excited.
Google took us to a lane that is inset so parking was a challenge but if you take the lane from Edapally main road connecting to palarivattom, Raman idli is just behind Domino's
It was almost 9.10 when we went with only about 50 minutes to close and the order was taken promptly. We started with Ghee Idly, Podi Idly and Schezwan fried panner idly plus Masala Ghee uthappam. Remeber each plate will have a pair of idlis and the owner was upfront to say it is going to be heavy but we took the challenge upon us. He sweetened the deal to provide 1 Schezwan fried paneer idly and 1 cheese cashew idly in a plate. Exciting! They make it all fresh after ordering so takes about 10 mins to 20 mins depending on the orders before you to get what you ordered. Though we ordered quite a few, they paced it nicely so the food did not go cold or we did not have to wait with empty plate for long - they do this for eveyone.
First one to come was ghee idly. They serve with an awesome sambar, authentic coconut chutney and delicious tomato chutney. You don't need any of these for ghee idly - it just melts in the mouth and you will finish it before you know. Masala ghee uthappam is just perfect - properly cooked and soft. Same was with the rest of them as well. We were definitely full like the owner had predicted but the sambar was too tempting to give up. So closed with sambar idly :-) We also chit chated with the owner telling him the food was just awesome and learnt they make their own dough and don't use even yeast for fermenting. Given all this I would say the palce is moderately expensive. There were a lot of milk shakes and sandwiches left to try. We are going to be back...
