Simple, no-frills, basic, traditional hotel serving South Indian Vegetarian food. Krishna Cafe, as it is popularly known amongst Cherlai locals, still retains its old-world charm. Even the prices are old-worldly, one may say.

Seemingly Krishna Cafe is a must-visit dosa eatery for many a traveller, especially foreigners, who come visiting Fort Kochi. You will find at least a couple of them partaking the Indian Dosa experience whenever you step in.

Only thing I personally wish for about this eatery is that it were bit more tidy than at present, with hygiene sensibilities taken at least a few notches up from present level with respect to service delivery. As regards everything else, I'd say it's a value-for-money proposition.

Worth a dekko, if you don't mind present-day luxuries you are used to in contemporary eateries and all you care for, is food and food alone.

This pure vegetarian restaurant is like a landmark in Mattancherry area.

They have AC and Non AC areas where food is served . Service is quick. Ambience is nothing great to speak about.

If anyone is in Mattancherry area like jew street/Dutch palace/synagogue, they can come to this restaurant for south Indian breakfast varieties like dosa/idly/Vada. Chappati here is very average . Cutlets are good here. An auto from fort kochi beach area to this restaurant will cost around Rs 50.
