Food is ok but the attitude and behaviour of the person at cash/reception is atrocious. He thinks he is giving free food to the customers. I think the hotel management better change this person with someone who knows respect and manners else they are gonna lose some good customers. More than food quality the hospitality and customer service is more important. Kindly learn that first before venturing into customer oriented business. I think the hotel looks the same for past 20 years and never develops due to the attitude of the staff. On top of it, they are not even developed with the latest updates. They don't even have UPI payment. When we ask for UPI payment they kind of abuse us and treat us like thieves. It's your ignorance stoping you from developing. Kindly be updated and be informed that UPI payment is direct payment to your bank account and not stealing the food from you for free. Bad experience. Very pathetic service by the hotel staff. Rude behavior by the cashier as if there are no other vegetarian hotels in town. Recently I bought 4 idlis and 2 upma. They gave very little chutney and sambar along with it. I asked to put some more, but the staff denied. Then I went to the cashier and his attitude was even worse. He said tomato prices have gone up but they haven't increased the price of the food. Thus they can give only this and he added to it that "take it only if you want or leave it here". That sounded very arrogant and rude from him. Had he asked me for an extra payment or the extra curry, I would have happily given it. It’s an age old restaurant which also has a famous catering service. During Vishu and Onam festivals, they have takeaway payasams and can also order meals.

Anyway, the past few visits were for Sunday morning breakfast. The puttu and Kadala was good, appam stew was great- I think the best of the lot, the kappa was poor- no gravy and no proper combination. If it were a bit more cooked, and if served with ullimulagu, it’d have been better.
