Read moreYesterday, we ordered our food directly at Mezwan, Ripon Street branch. Though Swiggy and Zomato was offering 40% & 30% discount on total bill amount. When we proceed to order our food at 6 pm both food app was told that restaurant is not taking the order. We called directly and they said that they will deliver the order but no discount. We ordered 3 sp. chicken biriani, 3 sp. mutton biriani, 2 chicken chanp and 2 mutton chanp. A bike rider delivered the food. We had to pay around Rs- 2650.00. No gst bill. Instead of that, some handwritten kancha receipt was produced by the delivery man as bill. Delivery person was argued for at least Rs100-150 tips. Now come to the food. Biriani and chanp, both was fully dry and cold (just in room temperature). Sp. mutton biriani comes with 2 pcs of mutton boti and we repeatedly request them to give some good rewaji portion, finally comes with two large and strong pcs of bone and 1 very small pc (1"x1") of meat (same in all three packs). All 6 bones were large, strong and unmanagable (even my dog refused to chew them). Spent Rs-990 for 3 Biriani. Mutton chanp was (Rs- 200 p.p) cold, tasteless, over salty, and quantity not more than 5 -6 tsf. My overall experience this time is bad, really bad. Feeling cheated. No napkin, spoon or anything with the pack. We lost 40% discount from swiggy just for there mean...
Read moreIf you're a Tandoor, Biryaani and Mughlai fan then you can try this place. The dishes that I've tried from here and can recommend would be:
Mutton Keema (Must Try): Shredded pieces of mutton with rich and thick gravy. Spicy meter will rate that as moderate or medium but the taste is definitely a USP. Typical North Indian Keema preparation. It costs only mere 180/- INR.
Mutton Stew: 4 pieces of mutton in medium thick gravy and high side on the spicy meter. Taste would force you to take one more quantity also because the size of mutton piece is a bit small compared to other menu. Costs 239/- INR only for a plate of Mutton stew.
Butter Naan: Soft and tasty breads. Eating them with curry especially a bit spicy gives a very enriching taste to the entire portion. But one Butter Naan is quite costly as compared to the size they're delivering. It costs 60/- INR for one piece.
Chicken Biryani: Typical Kolkata Chicken Biryani with a Potato. I have had better but you can try nevertheless. Chicken pieces are not that soft as it should be. Costs a whopping 250/- INR, at this price, I'd say it is...
