There are few points which I would like to discuss about this place. 1st of all they are maintaining hygiene during this covid situation at the same time they are charging 25₹/person for that so no real credits but they are checking temperature and sanitizing though I haven't seen them sanitizing the table. They are giving disposable plates with disposable spoon and fork. Then comes the main point ..it is not at all pocket friendly and is one of the premium chinese restaurants out there. Food quality used to be very good I know that as I have been here previously but that quality is no more. The waiters are very polite but the main part which is food is just above average. I would prefer mainland China or haka before chowman from the next time. I ordered chowmans special noodles and instructed to make the noodles very less spicy but trust me it was very spicy... the chicken fried rice was tasteless though the honey chicken was good and I can't say about meifoon as I didn't have it. Then comes the final part I ordered darsan with vanilla ice cream and there was a bug in one of the pieces of darsan. I saw that clearly and my friend also saw that so we called the waiters and chef to take a good look at that....u will not believe me they just said that it's nothing sir it's fried oil which became black and took that bug from us. They took me for granted as if I didn't have darsan before. I would have given 1 star but just because they are maintaining hygiene and it used to be a good restaurant I'm giving 2. There are lot of other chinese restaurants which may be a little expensive than this one but honestly this restaurant can be avoided.

I'll be honest, it's overrated. The only thing I liked about them is their service. The waiters are very polite and are always up for any orders you want to give. The decor is good and ambience is decent. The prices are somewhat affordable when it comes to proportion and quantity but really lack the quality and the taste. I had ordered Chicken Ramen, and it was awful. The taste was so bland and ramen which should be dipped in the soup had barely to no soup, you can see the picture below, the soup wasn't even visible when i received it. We also ordered the seafood fried rice and T'sou Chicken (fancy name for tossed chicken) . It wasn't good. It was edible and that's about it. We also had ordered two Sparkling Blueberries which tasted like blueberry syrup added to virgin mojito. Don't get me wrong, it was good. But i felt like i wasted Rs 1300 for nothing but to fill my appetite, not even stomach. I was full but I wasn't content or satisfied at all. So you can try other food, but make sure you don't order too much, take something, take more only if you like it. I would suggest their Meifoon (rice noodles), i have ordered them a lot of times from home. I love that. Overall I would give it 4/10.

Chowman is a premium restaurant for Chinese delicacies. They have various branches❤️, but we tried the Ballygunge one. Mostly they have accommodation enough and wait time is not high at lunch time, but after that it starts to crowd. We tried lots of item. Firstly, tried their steamed chicken momos which were tender and served in traditional way, which is the most unique experience. Then we tried their special halka noodle which was loaded with special veges, egg, chicken, 🦐 prawn and mushrooms. All blended too well and tasted heavenly. Then we ordered the sweet and sour chicken and Fish afgani with basha fish. Fish was delicious. And chicken was too succulent. Do try must. Overall bill was 1296rs but quantity was more than enough. We had to pack the food. The service is top notch and they are too cooperative and well behaved. Just 10/10 with amazing ambience inside. You can not resist yourself to come again and again. They also have a washroom which was pretty neat and clean. That's an added feature which is very helpful. ❤️❤️

An awful experience I had with additionally, inappropriate behavior over phone calls. Scam! Scam!.

Recently on 31st Dec Late Night (accurately 1st Jan 2023 at around 1:10 am) I had checked-in hotel VIP Intercontinental under The Spark Group of Hotels, at the reception I had to pay 3200 rs and I used UPI but after the payment done G-Pay showed the "transaction is processing"," my transaction is on hold" my money had already deducted from the bank. In the Morning at the time of check out the transaction was still on hold. the receptionist encouraged us to pay again and made promises about if any extra money would be paid, then they will refund

on Monday 2nd Jan 2023 at 8:05 pm the stuck payment had completed and asked the hotel to refund the extra money of 3200, but they behaved such an inappropriate way, several times they hung up calls without even listening, gave several excuses such as, the accountant had left this day earlier, or he even unavailable then. the manager was busy with meetings. They are moving things round and round with rubbish excuses still now. I call them everyday over phone but they didn't make...
