We recently had the pleasure of dining at Pepe Rosa, a gem of a restaurant located conveniently opposite the US Embassy. The moment we stepped inside, we were struck by the superb and amazing decor, which featured a unique truffle-like structure that added a touch of whimsy to the ambiance.
The food was truly tasty, with a focus on quality however not justified the slightly higher prices for all the items. We opted for the Primavera Pizza, a Neapolitan-style pizza loaded with a colorful medley of vegetables, and it was absolutely delightful. The crust was perfectly cooked, and the flavors were expertly balanced.
The appetizer, Shish Taouk with Labne, was also a highlight of our meal. The dish was expertly prepared and presented, with tender, juicy chicken that was full of flavor. However, the price seemed to be on the higher side for this. We ordered two mocktails and both were refreshing. I would prefer others to try Cucumber Sunset Britz and Grapefruit Cipriani. Chocolate torte was the last one we tried, recommended by the executive. Undoubtedly it was awesome but again the price seemed to be on the higher side. What truly made our experience stand out, however, was the exceptional service. Our server, an executive, was knowledgeable, kind, and polite. He took the time to explain the menu, made recommendations, and went above and beyond to accommodate our requirements.
Overall, Pepe Rosa offers a fantastic dining experience that's well worth a visit. With its unique ambiance, exceptional food, and outstanding service, it's a great choice for anyone looking for a memorable meal.

Read moreMy recent visit to Pepe Rosa was nothing short of spectacular. The service was impeccable, attentive and incredibly accommodating. The staff not only provided excellent recommendations for both small bites and the main course but also took feedback gracefully and executed it to perfection.
We indulged in a variety of dishes and drinks, starting with cucumber sunset spritz, Strawberry herb fizz, Truffle Puff, Manti, and Corn Ribs as appetizers. For the main course, we enjoyed the Truffle Toffee Pasta, Tortellini Al Arrabbiata, Spaghetti Aglio Olio, and Primavera.
Now, onto the food—where Pepe Rosa truly shines. The Signature Truffle Toffee Pasta was an absolute delight and a must-try. Each pasta dish was equally impressive, highlighting the restaurant’s commitment to authenticity and flavor.
One of the standout aspects of this restaurant is how light yet satisfying their dishes are. Unlike many Italian meals that can leave you feeling heavy, the pastas here were refreshingly light, not overly creamy, and perfect for health-conscious diners who don’t want to compromise on taste. Despite all the above, the four of us still had room for their Valentine’s special dessert—a beautiful heart-shaped biscuit topped with chocolate and finely chopped fresh strawberries, the taste was okay but a perfect dessert to end the meal.
Overall, an outstanding dining experience with amazing food, presentation and a commitment to getting every detail just right.

Read moreIt was a delight being seated at the Art Room of Calcutta's Newest Italian Restaurant - Pepe Rosa. The sheer ambience of the place made my jaw drop , the intricate art details & the floor layout has been exceptionally done. Their great collection of music ignites the experience
We were hosted by Mr.Ronojit Gomes who was an exceptional Host , kudos to his heartful Service. Pepe Rosa had quite a menu (Italian+ Med choices) we'd decided on getting : Black Garlic Prawns : Decent but lacked boldness in the sauce. Queen Margerhita in Roman Thin Crust - Not the kind I'd get again , lacked salt Chicken Porcini Polo Involtini - Good Main Plate , but the chicken wasn't as moist as I like it. 4.Linguni Cacio Pepe : Nice textured Linguine , too cheesy , the sauce wasn't what I expected it to be. 5.THE TRUFFLE TOFFEE PASTA WAS THE STAR OF SHOW! ABSOLUTE DELIGHT TO THE PALLET!! The Dopio was on point! I really appreciate the Barista , he's done a good job ;P.S. the management has price the Solo and the Dopio equally that's revolutionary for Calcutta. The food was an overall 3.5/5
The experience was priced aptly for an institution of this sort. Team Soba Sassy has done a great job thank them for getting us quick reservations for a great Early Dinner on New Year's Eve!
