Kaidi Kitchen is a casual dining located at 1 Usha Kiran Building, 12 A, Camac Street Area, Kolkata. The restaurant’s popularity rides chiefly on its theme. The interiors of this 165-cover outfit on Camac Street (they also have an outlet in Mani Square Mall) replicates a prison, complete with barred prison cells, arched doorways, palm prints on the walls and a host of prison paraphernalia. The ushers and waiters come dressed as prison guards and inmates. The place serves vegetarian food – a mix of Italian, Mexican, Oriental and Indian. However, their Indian kitchen is their real strength. Try their signature Subzi Dewani Handi (a medley of veggies in a rich tomato gravy) paired with cheese garlic naan. If you are in a group of six to eight, ask for one of the prison cells for a more private dining experience and primarily to have some fun.

Kaidi kitchen serves one of the finest and yummiest food in town. Being the first visit, place was better than expected and it had litteraly a look of enclosed Jail. Waiters were dressed as kaidi with white and black clothes and to our surprise there was a jailer, the one we must have seen in Sholay Food was very good. Starting with Sweet corn and Hot and Sour soup, Baroodi Aloo was yum, we hade ordered Tandoori kabab Sizzler which was okayish, dal makhani was one of my fav anongst it. Kulcha and Masala naan were better than expected. The only thing which let me down was Virgin Mary - 0/5 it was pathetic

Good food and ambience in the prison-themed restaurant. We had Paneer Khurchan Tart, Mexican Fajita Sizzler and Veg Manchurian. All of these were great and the sizzler is a must try.

Oh, where do I even begin with the exquisite culinary extravaganza that is Kaidi Kitchen? It was an absolute delight to be transported to a world where time stands still, waiters have mastered the art of nonchalance, and prices reach for the stars.

Let's start with the pricing, shall we? The moment I glanced at the menu, I knew I was in for an adventure. Paying a whopping 300 rupees for a simple soup is a steal! Who needs their life savings anyway? It's all worth it when you can savor the essence of liquid gold, right?

Now, let me regale you with the tale of the pasta we ordered. Oh, how my heart fluttered at the mere mention of pasta! Naturally, my expectations were sky-high. And you know what they say, good things come in small, microscopic, barely-there quantities. I mean, who needs a hearty portion when you can admire the emptiness of your plate and ponder the philosophical implications of scarcity? It's simply mind-boggling.

Ah, the pièce de résistance, the legendary Mexican sizzler. The wait, my dear friend, was well worth it. I mean, how else could they have sourced the magical ingredients directly from the mystical land of Mexico? We all know that the rice and all must be carefully handpicked by trained unicorns and delivered to the restaurant via interdimensional portals. It's only natural that such a painstaking process would take a mere 45 minutes. Who needs punctuality when you can experience the thrill of anticipation? And let's not forget the impeccable service! The waiters at Kaidi Kitchen truly embody the spirit of aloofness and disinterest. They have elevated the art of indifference to new heights. Who needs attentive staff when you can marvel at their sheer dedication to ignorance? It's like being in a parallel universe where customer satisfaction is a mere myth. How enchanting!

In conclusion, my experience at Kaidi Kitchen was nothing short of a fairytale. The overpriced food, minuscule portions, and the slow-motion service all combined to create a symphony of sarcasm. It was an adventure I shall never forget. Kudos to Kaidi Kitchen for creating a world where irony reigns supreme and where your wallet feels lighter than ever before. Bravo!

The food was tasty indeed. Or maybe the wait had made it delicious. However, we couldn't eat to our fill seeing the quantity of the food as compared to the price. After ordering only two dishes, we left the place. Even the waiters weren't interested in taking...

Our visit to Kaidi Kitchen on a Sunday left us with a memorable experience. Here's why we were thoroughly impressed:

Worth the Wait: Although we had to wait for over an hour, the experience was well worth it. It's not every day that you find a place that justifies your patience.

Exceptional Service: The service at Kaidi Kitchen was exceptional. We were celebrating a birthday, and to our surprise, they played the birthday song without us even having to ask. It added a special touch to our celebration.

Delicious Food: As a pure vegetarian restaurant, Kaidi Kitchen exceeded our expectations. The veg hakka noodles and manchurian were exceptional in taste, and the quick service made the dining experience even more enjoyable.

Unique Theme: The restaurant's theme is truly captivating. The ambiance, designed around the prison theme, adds a unique and intriguing touch to the dining experience. It's a great conversation starter.

Location Update Needed: One small suggestion to the management team would be to ensure that the restaurant's correct location is updated on online cab services apps. This would make it easier for customers to find your establishment.

In conclusion, our visit to Kaidi Kitchen was a delightful experience filled with good food, excellent service, and an intriguing ambiance. We highly recommend trying their delicious veg dishes. Despite the wait, we left with smiles on our faces, making it a day...

This restaurant on camac street is designed like a prison and the waiters are dressed up either as prisoners or jailers.it is designed to give you a feeling of eating inside a prison but don't worry the food is quite the opposite of what you would get in a prison :) The food is tasty and they serve various cuisines. The staff is quite courteous and friendly and they play along nicely and are in character most of the time. They have a valet parking so one less thing to worry about. Only problem with this place is that it is a bit inside and hence not easily visible and being on a one way street if you miss it then you have to really make a long turn to get there. So be careful and keep driving on the tight side of camac Street and stop as soon as you are at the petrol pump adjacent to the restaurant. The food is completely vegetarian and serves alcohol. One of the highlight dish is the litti chokha - a bihari speciality. It is really tasty and a must have but be careful of the chilly in it....
