I WOULD GIVE THIS PLACE A 0 STARS IF I COULD. I am not one to write bad reviews about any business/restaurant but this time I could not stop myself because of the terrible behavior and "hospitality" of the staff here. My mother and sister had recently visited this restaurant and after ordering drinks and food for themselves, they took out the home cooked food to feed my niece (it was single small tupperware, my niece doesnt enjoy outside food and ROOTS DOES NOT EVEN HAVE A CHILDREN'S MENU AT ALL). Immediately the server and another person (he identified himself as the manager) came up and immediately started talking to my mother and sister in RAISED VOICES that outside food is not allowed (by this time my sister and mother had just served themselves the food but not eaten). My sister and mother explained that my niece does not have any outside food plus Roots does not even have a kid-friendly menu or menu items with which to choose from. They still kept insisting in very loud voices that it is not allowed. My mother said she can sign a disclaimer of some sort if need be but at this point the "manager" continued raisin his voice and actually STARTED SCREAMING. My sister asked okay if not the home food what do you expect us to feed her from your menu? They said order the pizza, pasta - whatever you do IT IS NOT OUR PREROGATIVE WHAT YOU FEED THE CHILD WE DONT CARE. My sister and mother said we will also not eat then to which they said YES THAT IS GOOD PLEASE LEAVE. Is this what has happened to the restaurant industry now? Is this how patrons are to be treated? If you do not want to serve or cater to kids please put a disclaimer that kids are not allowed in your restaurant. No kids menu, home food now allowed for a child - what are they supposed to eat? I have also heard recent reviews from friends where patrons were not allowed to even be seated because they had their own bottles of water with them.

It's a new Pub cum Resturant just beside the Exide more, 3 minutes walking distance from Rabindra Sadan Metro Station. This opened on 10th December, 2022. First come to the ambience, it's really awesome. This pub has 2 wings of roof-top. You can watch the beauty of The Victoria Memorial Hall by sitting in this roof top wing. Interior decoration is very nice👌. A bar counter is there, DJ is controlling the music 🎶. Very popular and known songs were played. Contrast of lightings and shadow enriched the atmosphere of this pub. The passage of washroom is nicely decorated with funny paintings, I love 💝 this decoration most. Behaviour of stuffs really good, they are humble and they have knowledge about the food. But it was very surprising to see that they had mistaken in billing. When we look into the bill, they have charged 475/- instead of 215/- for Camino Real Gold 🥃 (475/- for 1 shot and we have ordered it 2 shots). We told them about it, after 5 minutes of discussion they told that it was printing mistake in menu card and we have to pay 475/-. We refused to pay extra charge because it was not our fault, then they discussed themselves by taking 30 minutes and after that they provide a new bill with 215/- for each. However they never misbehaved, all were very polite and courteous. Foods were really good in taste. A food manager has suggested to eat Katsu Chicken Tempura, it was just awesome 🤤. They served it with coconut 🥥 chutney. We have tried Adivasi Chicken Tikka🍗, it was garnished with puffed rice and mixture (chanachur), the tikkas were very soft and tender. Pulled chicken pizza 🍕 was good in taste. The choice of liquors were very limited. They have mentioned a lot of liquors in the menu card. but they have only 3/4 types.
