Sharma Dhaba has been my go to place if I am looking for a pocket friendly meal whether its dinner or some midnight snack as it is open 24 hours and the staff work in shifts to cover the service round the clock. They offer Dine In (AC & Non-AC), Drive In, Take Away and Delivery through online food delivery apps like Swiggy & Zomato. They have parking facility available for a nominal fee of ₹10 and if you visit after 10pm, the parking is free. They have efficient staffing to ensure that the service is fast and responsive. They have all payment options like cash, cards & online payments.
Talking about their food, the quality & quantity is extremely satisfying. Though some of their items stand out among others, you get a decent flavour from most of their items in the menu. I usually prefer Indian cuisine when visiting here as that's what Dhabas are famous for. Some of personal favourites are Special Butter Tadka Fry, Chana Masala, Chicken Tandoori, Tangdi Kebabs, Mushroom Masala, Chicken Bharta, Chicken Tikka, Firni, Gulab Jamuns, Lassi, etc.
It is usually crowdy after evening and during weekends. But, you'll always find someone to attend to you and serve you in time. I never had to wait for a service there. They also offer winter specials i.e. Makkai Ki Roti & Sarson Da Saag. My all-time favourite Dhaba to...
Read moreA small dhaba, right opposite Ballygunge Maidan Camp, serves sensational food. I happened to have vegetarian delicacies here, would like to mention and highlight Aloo Tikka and Paneer Cheese Malai Tikka. They were the best I'd in a long time.
For the main course, we ordered Baingan Bharta, Special Dal Tarka, Malai Kofta and Aloo Dum, along with breads and Pulao. All the veggies were incredible in taste. I loved the roomali roti. So soft and loaded with butter.
The service is steadfast. They churn out dishes very quickly. Most of the patrons sit in their vehicles and enjoy the delicious food inside their cars. The tea is delectable.
Only thing is that since the place is small, it becomes a little unhygienic but is the same case with all the Dhabas. This Dhaba is here to stay. With this food, it's simply amazing and will want you to keep coming back.
Ground floor is the Sharma Dhaba which is Non AC and the upper floor houses the New Sharma Hotel, which is Air...
Read moreSharma Dhaba has always been our preferred stop for Milk Tea, but since I gave up on milk, this time me and my brother in law decided to stop by for black tea. The system almost reminds one of America in the 60s - stop your car by the roadside, waiters walking up to the car to take your order, and while you wait in the car in comfort, food or drink is served to you readily. Eat it there or take it home.
We were pleasantly surprised to see that they have started serving non veg items as well. So we decided to go for egg roll and black tea. The roll was delicious, and the tea which came in a large glass cup with a hint of lemon was a delight.
What can improve of course is the cleanliness on the place. Lot of food waste and cups and plates dumped by the roadside which is not a pretty sight especially when you are waiting there and having your food. Apart from that, recommended for a quick...
