One of the most beautiful temples I've ever been to in my life. Visited this yet another amazing creation on 2nd Dec 2023, and here's how my experience was: -No ticket is required - At the entry, you'd find 1-2 guards deployed at the staircase(way to reach the trample). The guards won't allow any bag or luggage inside, hence, keep your belongings at home before visiting this temple. OR in case you unknowingly bring your bag, you can request the guard to keep a look at them until you return back, but do make sure that you don't have any valuables within the bag, just in case. -Try visiting the temple towards the evening, as you will get to witness this religious place with lights, making it worth the visit. -The shoes/sleepers need to be submitted at a dedicated room they have towards the right once you enter the temple. Also, at your return, they might ask gently for some money for their shoe keeping service, or you yourself can willingly offer the same. - The temple contains extremely beautiful level of idols. Idols of Lord Shiva, Radhakrishan ji, Ganesh ji, Hanuman ji, etc some others can be found here. -The idols are medium-sized and way too peace-giving that it'll just fill your mind, body, and soul full of peace. - Important: Mobile phones are allowed but clicking photos or making videos is strictly prohibited. The guards deployed once you enter the main premises, especially for this , can catch you very easily. Hence ,try not to click unless you are an expert with your tricks(like me) *wink emoji* - The temple is maintained clean, with almost little to no sound once you go inside the main architecture. -One can sit on the ground and pray too. The sitting space can be spotted easily as there already might be people sitting/worshipping at those dedicated places. - You can also communicate with the guards(ofc) to gain deeper insights about the history of this temple. Overall, worth the visit from my perspective. There's something magical about the idols that once you watch them , you'd find yourself in a peaceful state of mind. Let me know once you visit it after watching this review.

I am happy to write a five-star review for Birla Temple, one of the most beautiful and well-maintained temples in Kolkata. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this temple, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. First and foremost, the cleanliness of the temple is truly commendable. The temple premises are spotless, and the surroundings are very well-maintained. It's evident that the management of the temple takes great pride in keeping the place in pristine condition. The architecture of the temple is magnificent, and it's a sight to behold. The intricate carvings, the stunning pillars, and the overall design are a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship of the builders. The temple's serene atmosphere and peaceful surroundings add to the beauty of the place. The staff at the temple are very polite, helpful and friendly. They are always ready to assist visitors and guide them through the temple. Their warm hospitality and pleasant demeanor made my visit all the more enjoyable. Overall, I would highly recommend visiting the Birla Temple to anyone visiting Kolkata. The temple is not only a spiritual haven but also a cultural landmark, and a true testament to India's rich heritage. It's well worth a visit, and I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Great place to find peace. Temple really looks very beautiful and best time to visit would be in the evening during sunset. The temple opens in the evening at 4:30 pm. you can spend as much time as you can in silence away from mobile in peace as one has to switch off mobile phone before entering. Also one important thing is no provision for bagpacks here and guards will refuse to allow one with bagpack. So either go as a group and ask a person to stay outside holding bagpacks or make arrangements to go to the temple without any bags. So spend time to cover the beauty of architecture from outside with mobiles and once you enter the temple one is allowed to enjoy and store the beauty of the temple only with eyes and brain. Overall one would have a great experience visiting this place. To reach this place there are many buses from Gariahat. While returning if you would like to go to gariahat you can find many buses after crossing. But if you would like to take bus to RB avenue side then better to take auto to garia crossing and then take bus from there as direct bus from that place is very rare.
