Sharma Tea House in Bhowanipore is a legendary spot in Kolkata that holds a special place in the hearts of tea enthusiasts and food lovers. Nestled in the bustling streets of Bhowanipore, this humble eatery has been serving locals and visitors alike with its delicious offerings for years.

The highlight of Sharma Tea House is, undoubtedly, its tea. Known for its strong, aromatic, and perfectly brewed chai, served in traditional clay cups (kulhads), it embodies the quintessential Kolkata tea experience. The tea here is refreshing, robust, and pairs perfectly with the eatery’s lip-smacking snacks.

Speaking of snacks, the kachoris served with a flavorful aloo sabzi are a crowd favorite. Crispy, hot, and loaded with flavor, they are perfect for a quick breakfast or an evening snack. Other offerings, like samosas and jalebis, are equally delightful and maintain the high quality that Sharma Tea House is known for.

The ambiance is simple and unpretentious, with a street-side charm that adds to the experience. Though seating might be limited and the place often crowded, the warm hospitality and prompt service make up for it.

Sharma Tea House is more than just a tea stall; it is a cultural experience that reflects Kolkata's love for chai and adda (casual conversation). Whether you’re a local or a visitor, a stop here is a must to savor the authentic flavors...

Sharma Tea House in Bhawanipore, Kolkata, is a legendary tea and snack corner that has earned a special place in the hearts of locals. Known for its iconic kulhad chai (tea served in traditional clay cups), the tea here is rich, strong, and perfectly brewed — a true representation of Kolkata’s deep-rooted tea culture. The aroma itself invites you in, and one sip brings a sense of warmth and nostalgia.

Alongside the tea, Sharma Tea House is famous for its crispy, golden kachoris served with a flavorful aloo sabzi. The combination is a favorite breakfast or evening snack for many. Other items like samosas, jalebis, and pakoras are equally popular and consistently tasty, made fresh and served hot.

More than just a tea shop, Sharma Tea House represents the spirit of Kolkata’s everyday life — where conversations, laughter, and great food come together. If you’re in Bhawanipore, this place is definitely worth a visit for an authentic and memorable...

Sharma Tea House is a famous breakfast point in Kolkata. The place is very crowded and sitting capacity is less. Limited free Parking is available along the street side.

I tried their Kachori and sabji which was good but nothing unique as it is hyped. The kachori was crispy and the sabji was flavorful. I also tried their jalebi with my breakfast, which was sweet and delicious.

The service was quick and efficient, even though the place was crowded. The prices are reasonable, especially for the quality of food you get.

Overall, I would give Sharma Tea House a 3.5 out of 5 stars. It is a good place to go for breakfast, but don't expect anything mind-blowing.

Here are some of the pros and cons of Sharma Tea House:

Pros:

Good quality food Quick service Reasonable prices

Cons:

Crowded Limited seating No parking

Overall, I would recommend Sharma Tea House to anyone looking for a good breakfast place in Kolkata. Just be prepared...
