The Sugarr & Spice — Restaurant in Kolkata

If I could give negative that would be appropriate. I live in Bhowanipur and know this place since my birth. Be it my birthday or sister's or anniversary of my parents, we used to buy from this shop only. Even we found this shop is far better than the other sugarr and spice shop. However, just few weeks back I had a very bad experience. I went there with one of my friends and ordered two pastries, one fish item and a bottle of water. They had given us a cold bottle but since I had very bad cough and cold I asked my friend to take the room temperature water. He went, the person on the counter told that it is not available. Since we can't have this water we will cancel it. I went to cash counter. I told that person (was wearing a black spectacle, I know him since my childhood. He was good before but eventually his attitude has changed) that we want room temperature bottle but since it is not available and we can't have this cold water we will cancel it. He started arguing first. I told him that I have cough so can't consume this. I don't know what happened he started shouting. Automatically I also lost my temp and there was a huge shouting and arguments. The person from the counter came and tried to calm him down and also requested me to leave it and said that he is giving a bottle of water. And the funniest part when he gave the bottle it was the room temperature bottle, exactly what we were asking for. So it means that they had it but were not willing to give it. So here is my question, why it was not provided at the first? Is there any specific reason. The behaviour of that cash counter person is very very rude, harsh, and worst. If he informed politely without shouting that he can't cancel the order since the payment has already been made, I could have understood but all of a sudden he started shouting. I don't know why has he such attitude? Is he the owner? Even so, he can't shout on customers. That was the last day for me and I will make sure that nobody from my family or friends will take a single thing from your Shop. If you check your reviews then you can see that you have only 3.9 score and multiple negative feedbacks just because of the rude behaviours. Ask your employees to behave properly, they don't have idea how to talk with...

The ambience was ok, the staff was also good, the service was a bit slow but the food was tremendously horrible. I mean it was worse and had no iota of Chineseness in the food. Any local fast food stall makes much better noodles than what they had made, the chicken side dish was okayish and edible, the fried rich tasted like Bengali pulao and had no connection with Chinese cuisine, the veg Manchurian was the worst...it was an alu chop dunked in sauce, it tasted like alu kofta...the gravy was super terrible as it was a concoction of god-knows-what sauces. If there is any 3rd class biriyani in the world that is only available in this Sugar & spice restaurant in front of sskm emergency gate beside gokhale Memorial school. We have ordered 7 mutton biriyani (rs.250) & 1 chicken biriyani (around Rs. 170-80) on 9th june 2023, amount around Rs 2000/-. The mutton in the box is less than 50 grams only with bone not any meat, one small pc of potato, one egg and extreme testeless of rice which is nothing but yellow coloured rice with mitha atar essence. We have decided will definitely complain to the higher authority, and never order to this restaurant again in future. We thrown it to...
