Stun the Sun Restaurant — Restaurant in Kolkata

Overall the place is good, spacious, nicely decorated and easy to locate. One of my friends has booked this restaurant cum banquet to celebrate the marriage anniversary of her parents, I was invited. Decorations were really good and the initial service from the staff there was really good. The taste of the starter items were good and the main course ( buffet) was also having many food items but average in taste.

The washroom was totally out of order from the very beginning we reached the place. Water was not available there and after complaining they still didn't arrange water. We used sealed mineral water to wash our hands.

Apart from this another big problem we faced was that the restaurant management had not arranged sufficient food ( mutton and chicken items were finished after 20 people's dinner, 30 heads were still remaining ). Last 10- 15 of the guests didn't had food at all. Only 50 guests were invited to the party and the restaurant management couldn't arrange sufficient food for the guests, which created a chaotic situation over there. After a beautiful plan and everything still it's a definite face loss of the host and for the same total irresponsibility goes to the restaurant management.

In the end the restaurant authority compensated with the maximum amount for their own miss management and faults, after a long round of discussion.

Per head food cost was around - 1000- 1200 ( approx ).

I won't recommend this place at all to plan these kinds of programs due to...

It's the most unprofessional place.. they cancelled the booking 4 days prior....And the reason the gave was utter nonsense that on that day they have pest control which they did not know. The staff is most irresponsible, and least bothered about work especially a guy called Umesh... He acts and behaves as if he knows everything and is super smart...It's the shittest place with shittest staff...The owner is never available and never answers calls...Takes no onus for anything.... We had done the booking in October and in late November this person Umesh called that he knew nothing about the menu and decoration...I had to reexplain him everything...And what he was bothered about advance money ...On 2nd he called for advance payment and when I went for payment he asked me to cancel for 10th and do it on some other date as per his availability.....Or else cancel the entire party....Moreover did not bother to listen and was smiling away.... I would give a big zero and no star to this place and would recommend not to even think this place as...

Stun the sun is a vegetarian restaurant located at Camac Street. It offers its space for Birthday parties and gathering to celebrate occasions. The staffs and management is customer friendly and service oriented. They have renovated and revamped the interior. The service is prompt and courteous. The food is decent one of the best is pasta live counter. The venue could be booked for decent gathering and functions. The most disappointed section was their dessert corner. I have tasted the worst cake and pastry ever. The quality need to be improved and variety needs improvement. They have DJ songs which keeps one...
