I recently visited The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf inside Quest Mall and had a wonderful experience. Here's a brief review based on my visit:
The cafe has a perfect ambiance that resembles a cozy coffee shop. The interior decoration was impressive and added to the overall charm.
The staff members were attentive and well-behaved. They were prompt in taking orders and provided excellent service.
The cappuccino and latte I tried were made from freshly brewed coffee beans, which resulted in a delightful and rich flavor. While the latte art was missing, the barista's expertise was evident in the specialty coffee they served.
The selection of cakes was impressive, and I particularly enjoyed the almond cake and pineapple cake. They were delicious and complemented the coffee perfectly.
Although the croissants were served, they lacked the desired crispness. It would be great if The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf could introduce more varieties and work on improving the texture of their croissants.
I would suggest including different types of cookies in their menu. This would offer more options for customers to pair with their beverages. Additionally, serving drinking water would be a thoughtful addition to enhance the overall experience.
Lastly, I recommend The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf to consider arranging specialty coffee beans for purchase in the shop. This would be appreciated by customers like us who would like to enjoy their favorite brew at home.
Overall, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf inside Quest Mall offers a pleasant environment, attentive staff, and excellent coffee made from freshly brewed beans. I look forward to my next visit and hope to see some improvements in the croissants and additions...
Read moreThe ambience was good, location is perfect- just inside the quest mall. Food was okay, but service can be improved as what I experienced today. Details are provided below.
We went and ordered garlic bread and cappuccino on the counter, we also wanted croissant which was out of stock but that is still acceptable. Later we asked them to include blueberry cheesecake as well. However, we were only served with garlic bread. We had to specifically call someone and ask about our remaining order, which they served immediately on asking. But it seemed they had forgotten about it till then. The coffee served also was not up to mark, for presentation...they had just poured the cream/milk with no design, which is not usually expected from high end cafes..but no complaint for taste.
Having said all these, I would still visit this cafe, expecting these missed were there because today being Saturday and specially evening. Hope these minute service details are taken care going forward.
Also I would ask them to increase veg food items in menu. As vegetarian are left with no options other than salad, pasta, sandwich and a Lebanese platter if croissant is out of stock. Also for desert only 2-3 eggless...
Read moreAfter months away, I finally decided to try Coffee Bean again (hoping it has improved). Sadly, the experience is still horrible. Unlike other food establishments, there is no safety check on entry (no hand spray or temperature check). That alone is poor responsiveness. The staff are still poorly trained. I waiting about 10 minutes at the front counter trying to place an order. Despite 2 staff members "working" behind the counter, neither acknowledged me. Irritated, I walked away rather than causing a scene. If this was a standalone experience, I would have mentioned something, but unfortunately it fit perfectly with all customer service I have seen at this outlet prior to the pandemic. Quest is simply too nice a mall to have such a poorly executed coffee shop at is flagship coffee place. Both Mani Square and City Center 2 have the good sense to attract a Starbucks. While Quest has loads of restaurant and fastfood options, the best it can offer for coffee is the cafecino in the basement hallway, and that isn't...
