Beware - Unplaced Order hoax at Yellow Straw, Lake Mall-

Today, Monday 23rd Aug, 21 at around 12.20 pm I had an almost fraudulent experience at Yellow Straw, Lake Mall. The worst experience ever. Initially, when I went at their counter to order they were asking me to order the items with higher prices, which seemed very weird to me. However, I ordered one lime juice only at their counter, but while billing they billed me for two lime juices. Next, while taking the delivery they were forcing me to take orders for two lime juices. I told them that I ordered for one lime juice only and would take one and i didn't order for two, but their staff kept on forcing me to accept that I ordered two. I felt really embarrassing and insulted as I realized that were trying to cheat me by forcibly charging me for two orders to increase the billing amount as my order price was too less - only one lime water. A fat lady with specs at their counter then started yelling that - "I will not refund your money at any cost"!! I soon realized why apparently they were forcing me to go for expensive orders. I realized that - I was in a trap.

Eventually, I countered by asking them to keep the extra cash but I took only one product. I maintained my integrity. But, what was shocking was when I was walking away not even for once the Yellow Straw staff asked me to take my refund. This showed that Yellow Straw staff has no work ethics at all and intends only to push higher sales even if that required cheating people ON THE FACE.

Eventually, I reported my experience to the Lake Mall Food Court administration and they intervened and ensured the dispute was clarified and I got my refund for the unplaced order.

Yellow Straw admin- If you are reading this review please ensure to maintain the minimum work ethics required; forcing people to go for expensive orders and if they don't then forcing unplaced orders on them just to increase sales is an act of fraud and you may be charged on legal grounds.

And, there was a fat lady wearing glasses at the Yellow Straw, Lake Mall counter who is a complete rogue and a cheat who started the ruckus of forcing me to buy unplaced orders and directly refused to refund the extra money!!

Nevertheless, I was sincerely thankful to Food Court administration who made sure that I was saved from the hoax and my extra money was returned which Yellow Straw, Lake Mall staff...

No doubt they have a wide range of options starting from the juices, shakes, waffles and icecreams BUT these guys are very slow and lame in terms of providing service to their customers. I have been to this store thrice and all the time I left with disappointment. 1st visit - Very Slow Service . 2nd Visit - For a regular size icecream, they charged me the price of a Large icecream. I realised it the day after when I went through the bill reciept. 3rd Visit - I Asked for a sweet lime (mosambi) juice WITHOUT ice. There wasn't any other customer still they took 15 minutes to make a juice(15 minutes for making a juice? Are you kidding me?) and it was full of ice. Definitely NOT GOING to this...
