Adarsh is some of those places I am in complete awe of as I have been watching it's omnipresent existence for the last fifty years. It could be easily their third generation at the helms now & so will be of their support/service staff. The estate could very well be a monument given the passage of time it has travelled. They have renovated the place nicely with air-conditioning , much needed from the dust & din of the road leading to Dadar station. No fancy clientele, purely functional surroundings, feeding the souls arriving from either travel destinations or in the midst of their household buying frenzy. Adarsh treats everyone equally, without bias & offers menu cards that have hardly changed over the years but for some popular Udupi dishes & some more fancy meal assortments. You are absolutely certain to get consistent, hygienic & authentic Maharashtrian preparations , day in day out. And to my dismay, I pity those who order Udupi dishes at Adarsh , not realising these are some of the last few true blue Maharashtrian estates remaining in Mumbai given the manifestation of the ubiquitous QSRs. My favourites are always the " Puneri Misal" " Bhajneeche Thaalipeet", "Kothimbeer Vadi" & the thick n sweet, Piyush to wash these down. These are some of the quick determinants to prove the authenticity of the preps, and I hardly ever go wrong. Long live...

Considering the current Covid situation, we expect atleast basic hygiene to be followed by the food outlets. Very unhygienic place as the food was served in dirty utensils, seems to be just dipped in water without washing. The same was brought in the notice of the owner, who just said sorry. He thought we are just bluffing, we asked the waiter to inform the owner, they both just exchanged words, spoon ganda tha kya, haan ganda tha bola aandar. Owner was not at all bothered to atleast get up his chair, go inside the kitchen to atleast check. Only 1 pav bhaji and 1 sada dosa costs Rs.310/- which was at at all worth paying Rs.50/-. No taste in food. Pav bhaji was Just boiled potatoes and served. Sada dosa was mixed batter yellow colour. Think 100 times before...

I happened to visit this restaurant today and was surprised to see following excellent points. 1) Very clean 2) Spotless white tables with nice flower pot of Rose flowers on each table. 3) Very good staff 4) The owner also offered nice Pedha being the inaugural day. 5) Food quality is very good 6) Prices are quite reasonable considering location, recent renovation cost & salary of staff. It is definitely cheaper than some Pune restaurants which are not even AC. 7) AC is very comfortable 8) Though so close to Dadar station in crowded market area, this place is noiseless once you are inside. 9) Enough distance between seats and tables and no congested feeling. 10) Recommended to visit as many times as you are near Dadar West. 11) This is now a Prime restaurant...

I recently dined at Adarsha and ordered the Adarsha Misal Pav to try something different. This dish combines unique sweet and sour flavors, but unfortunately, the pav and misal didn't taste fresh and seemed to be of lower quality. If you're a fan of spicy misal, this might not be the best choice for you. However, it can be an interesting option for a change if you want to try something new. Following that, I ordered bhaajaniche thalepeth, which was both crunchy and tender inside, though not very spicy. It was served with coconut chutney, adding to the overall experience. However, the prices at Adarsha seemed a bit high for the quality and quantity of the food. The restaurant tends to get crowded during peak times, so be prepared to wait outside for at least 10 minutes.

I didn't have a very good experience here. Just went for a quick bite in the afternoon and when we ordered only one misal the waiter rolled his eyes. I asked him twice for the bill and when i paid for it, he didn't care enough to come and take the money. He was only interested in attending the other families who were having their lunch. So if you're not gonna eat little dont expect good behaviour from the waiters. Also the prices for misal are not inclusive of the pav that comes with it. The price of puneri misal was ₹65 on the menu and they charge extra 10₹ for the two pavs that comes with it. I dont know if this a thing but Im disappointed with the overall experience. The menu on maps is old, Im uploading the updated one. Taste wise it was ok.

I recently visited Adarsha restaurant, and I must say the experience was delightful. The ambiance was inviting and comfortable, setting the perfect tone for a pleasant meal. I started with a dosa, which was wonderfully crispy and flavorful. For the main course, I opted for paneer and vegetables curry paired with roti. The taste was exceptional, with well-balanced spices and fresh ingredients. The portions were generous, and the prices were quite reasonable given the quality and service. To finish, I ordered a piyush, a thick shake similar to lassi. It was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, leaving a lasting impression on my taste buds. The staff were courteous and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience.
