Book stalls is great with amazing editorial & moral books & Kirtan on CDs/DVDs/ Pendrive. Amazing moral books specially for children are must haves. Ayurvedic medicine & FMCGs are great.

Mandir Darshan remains closed between 12:00pm till 4:00pm everyday. Darshan closes for the day at 8:45 post the last Arti.

Murtis are adorned with traditonal royal costumes during the day but at the last Arti they are change with night wear wraps. Very beautiful & mesmerizing.

Satsang Sabhas on every Sunday Special satsang for girls & boys seperately taken during this time. It's Fun while you learn way. Children satsang is conducted in a very different style here. Storytelling, Shlok reciting with meaning, learning values & morals & manners through sing a song with actions. Educational guide & learning techniques shared. Imbibing culture & ethics is simply a necessity now.

While Saints are in mandir during Arti. Women will have to do Darshan staying behind. Till the saints leave. That will be for about 15 mins or so. Post that women can again do Darshan from front. Reason: SWAMINARAYA saints follow ashtang Bramcharya so they never look, speak or can contact a woman in any ways. Super amazing fact that such saints & traditions are still followed here. Great. The saints practice 5 niyams here... Ni-svad ( eat only in a wooden bowl, mostly mix everything & eat) Nir-lobh ..have no personal bank account, no touching money, can't hold property of any kind in their name Ni-sneh.. once they become Sanyasi they have to quit family & all ties. Never again talk or visit family or their homes. Nir-maan .. have no EGO. Nish-kaam.. follow ashtang Bramcharya so they never look, speak or can contact a woman in any ways.

Once can seek logical answers & even have healthy debates on philosophy with the well read saints here. You get a modern view on science with religion...

BAPS(Bochasanwasi Akshar Purshottam Swaminarayan Sanstha) is a religious non profit organization founded by Shri Shastriji Maharaj. It is the world's one and only NGO with a lots of volunteers and disciples. There are many Hari Mandir(Temples) and Aksharadham(God's divine place) created by the organisation which inspires and motivates the people all over the world. It tells us the various stories of Bhagwan Swaminarayan in the form of Mandir and sculptures.

Dadar Swaminarayan Mandir is located opposite Dadar Station in the East. It is easily visible. There is Harimandir and besides it there is staying place for the worshippers offered by the Mandir only.

Mandir is very beautifully made. There is Nilkanthvarni in the Mandir where you can do Jalarpan( Murti poojan). The Mandir is the outcome of hardwork and devotion of the people and with the blessings of Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj. Also in the Mandir, there is famous Stambh(Pillar) which we need to rotate number of times as per our wish. The Mandir is extremely calm and quiet. Arrogant Employees of BAPS DADAR

We have to write this with pain about our painful and pathetic experience at BAPS Swaminarayan Dadar Temple& their employees this Sunday.

We along with some young NRIs went to BAPS Dadar temple in the morning for Abhishekam to Shree Neelkanth Varni. Once we entered the temple we saw one employee sittin on Premvati counter . He was eating a big plate filled with fruits. On asking him for guidance he very rudely replied " No darshan and No abhishek today . All closed!!! It was just 10.00 o clock. He was only interested in Eating.

We then checked with the Donation counter and deposited the amount for Abhishekam. We then went to do the Abhishekam . We saw many were doing Abhishek. We asked the employees present there if we can do the Abhishek pooja and showed the donation receipt. They negated and replied with the same rudness . On asking them when we can comeback . They replied with extreem Arrogance.

Finally, we expressed our concern to the person sitting at the Donation counter and returned WITHOUT doing the abhishek. But the Darshan were open. So we cud do the Darshan.

We have a strong impression that their Senior Saints are real Gems but their employees and; so called Volynteers (???) are only interested in EATING.

They ask US to do & SEVA and they eat ;MEVA

We then decided to give our donations to the cancer patients relatives who are residing on Footpaths just few meters away from temple near TATA Cancer hispital.

Its worth donating the patients then to donate to these Arrogant employees of this...
