The one star is solely for the tasty masala dosa, but sadly, that’s where the positives end.

We visited Balaji Restaurant at Mumbai Airport T2 expecting decent South Indian fare. But what we experienced was far from it:

❌ No idli, no wada — two of the most basic items in any South Indian restaurant weren’t available. ❌ Nothing was fresh — even the sambar lacked flavor and seemed reheated. 💸 Super expensive and not worth the hype — A simple masala dosa priced at ₹340 is just unjustifiable, especially when quality is average. ☕ Tea was mediocre — just warm, watery, and lacked depth.

💰 We ended up paying ₹1600 for 3 masala dosas and 2 teas, which is outrageous given the quality, quantity, and lack of freshness.

If you’re at Mumbai International Airport T2 and looking for a quick, budget-friendly meal, better options are available elsewhere in the terminal.

👎 Overall, overpriced, underwhelming, and absolutely not worth the money.

Now it’s not a typical Balaji Restaurant which was damn known for it’s taste and service, The Hospitality is lost (the staff was so lazy to even respond), the Taste especially for it’s well known and famous South Indian snacks have also vanished. For our surprise… we were also served stale Chatni with Idli, Although they missed to give stale chatni to everyone and served a portion of Fresh Chatni to one of our members… Unfortunately there we understood the whole ‘KAAND’ So such kind of known places can turn your experience anytime, please ensure that things served are well cooked and are hygienic… Wish to give negative stars but I don’t have an option… Try anything near Airport but not this Balaji (Atleast for...

Recently I visited this place and trust me it gave me a a proper foodgasm taste which I was waiting for a long time … It’s a pure Veg Restaurant and also serves Jain Food also . The place is also open 24*7 so any point of time if you are in the mood have some authentic southindianfood or Indian Food than this place is to go for it . I Tried Mysore Masala Dosa , Ghee Podi Idli , Paneer Tikka Starter , Hara Bhara Kebab , Chilli Milli Sabzi, Butter Kulcha , Tandoori Roti and Butter Scotch Ice cream . You might think the prices are lil but high compared to other restaurants but good things don’t come that pocket friendly….. I toh love it and if you wanna experience it then go, explore and eat it right straight...
