Bombay eatery-

New upscale rooftop pub and one of the coolest local spots in Borivali. Swayed by the me-first syndrome decided to try this place.

Location Located on the top floor of Thakkar Mall exactly opposite Borivali station.

Ambiance Probably the coolest part about this place is outdoor seatings with central bar counter. Not one of the best the open view but definitely you do feel enveloped by the city.

Indoor seatings are also beautiful with plenty of seating. Most of the ables set up that can seat four guests. Middle section with huge window with natural light coming in. Inner cozy section for fine dining.

The music playing was fun and upbeat.

Food

Menu full of drool worthy meals and has an eclectic collection of interesting n unique drinks with description.

Our server was helpful, nice and attentive. Completely happy with service.

✔Drinks

🔹Passionart- Vey delicious and refreshing! The classic concoction of strawberry and passion fruit, citrus flavour and ideally sweetened with vanilla sugar. I would definitely recommend passionfruit mocktail!

🔹Peninsula- Another solid choice. Made of raspberry and passion fruit, bit of orange flavour, n garnished with lemon tail. Nice presentation looks great.

✔Starters 🔹Nyonya laksa soup- An authentic Malaysian curry soup of exotic veges like broccolo and bell pepper. Spicy, flavorful thick soup with complex flavours. Wonderful taste and perfect start for a meal.

🔹Manchaw soup- This classic soup was rich in flavors with slightly aritificial taste. Garlic flavour was also not overpowering, and veges were uniformly chopped and distributed. Overall not as good as nyoyna soup.

🔹Vadapav spring roll- Our fav vada pav given different twist in form of spring roll with spicy aloo stuffing. Topped with green chutney and sprinkled with dry garlic red chutney. Presentation n taste good.

🔹Pao bhaji Boom- Loved the addition of bhaji with the right amount of crunchy base. Served with mint mayo. Again beautifully presented! Though blend of mashed veggies bit lacking in flavours and mildly spiced. Chopped pieces of chilly can be added to enhance the spicyness.

🔹Kheema pav- Their star dish and worth a penny! The presentation of the keema pav with chilly was perfection. Chilly element further added sheen to the look! Mushroom and creamy brown gravy made with secret spices n spreaded onto soft buttered bun. Optimum heat and rightly spiced. Highly recommended!

✔Main course

🔹Mapo Tofu Combination super soft tofu gravy and chilly basil rice made with green onion. Rice perfectly cooked and seasoned. Tofu soup amazingly tasty n they certainly nailed down the spiciness level. Along with tofu were present broccoli, pepper, baby corn and lettuce leaves. Satisfying dish.

✔Dessert

🔹Baklava- Unique layered crispy dessert full of nuts mostly comprised of walnuts. It had prominant cinnamon taste and made in pure ghee. Not too sweet.

Bombay eatery is located in borivali near station. This place is very good for vegetarians though in every dish they've broccoli it was good for those who like broccoli. This place is very spacious and they even have brunch. So basically we went for brunch and it was good. Ambience was good and service was quick.

We tried - ( Buffet menu )

Drinks- •Passionart, Bliss, Peninsula, Melon blossom, Marys mellow - All of these were amazing with proper taste and was full of different flavours. It was freshly made and was refreshing. Loved it.

Soup - •Rambo soup - A bit spicy and full of veggies, taste wise it was good. Veggies lover will love this.

Starter - •Dahi k kebab - Shallow fried kebabs served with dip. Taste wise it was good, like the texture of the kebabs. Loved it! •Veg crispy - Best I would say. Veg crispy was with some veggies in it which tasted really good. •Jalapenos popers - Jalapeno poppers were good, fried properly, with good amount of cheese in it. I just loveddd it! •Tndoori broccoli - broccoli were well tandoored though it was little hard to eat but it as good. Broccoli lovers should definitely try this out. •Makhani pizza - Basically it was thin crust pizza, crust was crispy, it had broccoli, corriender, olives and good proportion of cheese with makhani sauce on top of it. Just loved it!

Main course - •Indian bread - Indian breads very well cooked an were very soft. •Paneer Lahore - Gravy of paneer was medium spicy as expected. Paneer were fresh and soft. •Veg kadai - Basically it was kind off mix veg sabzi which was really very good in taste. •Dal tadka - Flavour of tadka in dal was Amazing. Just perfect! •Veg fry rice (budha delight sauces) - Rice were cooked properly with some broccoli and spring onions in it. •Green peas pulao - Taste wise it was good, nice yellow colour rice with green peas

LOCATION: This rooftop luxury is located right on top of Thakkar Mall which is exactly outside Borivali Platform no. 2. This place is like a relaxation pool for all you street shoppers out there. Also, It is very easily accessible.

AMBIENCE: This place is unbelievably spacious, occupying almost the entire rooftop of the mall. Very chic, stylish and modern interiors with 2 seperate sections- one for family restaurant which is air conditioned while another one with hookah and bar place with beachy vibes. They have a huge seating space and really artistic and innovative decor.

MENU: They not only serve vegetarian but also delicious non-vegetarian dishes. Their starters are really nice, especially the sandwich and slider part. Though they don't have much option in main course, but whatever they have on offer is really worth appreciation. Their mocktails are really different and refreshing too.

STAFF: The staff here was very polite and welcoming. Not to miss they were really attentive 🤩, super helpful with the table arrangements and the service was quick too.

OFFERS: This place offers indoor as well as outdoor seating. They have a full bar and the best part is that they have live entertainment nights and sports screening as well. Also, they provide home delivery facilities to nearby areas.

FOOD: Everything here was beyond expectations. The taste of all the dishes was classic and their presentation was remarkable.
