Facing East Oshiwara Dine-in Review As the name suggests, this place says it all. In every aspect it’s a fine dining restaurant which serves delicious Pan Asian food. Facing East has enamored me with a gratifying and scrumptious meal the other day. This is a one such place where quality and quantity is never compromised on. The space is fairly big and well lit. This place has an amazing ambience with wonderful interiors and this place is surely inviting to patrons. About service, the staff is very courteous and extremely helpful. They make sure every of your needs will be catered. They have an extensive menu from where we have picked up the following dishes. Prawns Coriander Dimsum: I still can’t get over it. It was wow, perfectly cooked and aromatic. Blue Rice Salmon Roll: Sushi has become my favorite Japanese food and I have been an avid sushi lover. Sushi with Salmon and Cream Cheese drizzled with special sauce made this simply irresistible. Crab Kani Uramaki Roll: It was amazing and gave us a unique experience. Burnt Garlic Fried Rice: It was indeed an experience. Really well-made and just loved it. Sapo Chicken: This dish has a great balance of flavors. Good portions and great taste. Traditional Tiramisu: It tasted like heaven. Don’t miss this one. Extremely soft and chocolaty. To sum it up, do give this place a try for one of the best Asian cuisines in town. I would highly recommend this place for everyone. Must visit to have a great time. Facing East is a decade old Pan Asian restaurant known for its tantalizing South East Asian Food. The Oshiwara outlet is their newest offering that has a indoor outdoor seating with a minimal chic decor. One thing that I really like about this place is that they use fresh ingredients that make the food burst with flavours and even their portion sizes are enormous. Here are my recommendations that one should definitely try ! Dim Sums - Potato starch is used for making their thin dimsum wrapper, this makes the dim sums extremely delicious. I even love their spicy chilli oil dip as it acts as the perfect accompaniment. One who loves prawns can try cheng fung prawn, for vegetarians I would suggest corn spinach cheese dimsums. Sushi - Facing East has some amazing options when it comes to Sushi. They garnish them equally well with caviar and Japanese togarashi spice mix. I highly recommend their batter fried lobster sushi roll. Appetizers - One gets a huge variety when it comes to Asian starters. My all time favourite is butter garlic Prawns ! That's because they use jumbo size shrimps in the making and their fresh seafood quality stand out ! Mains - One gets always confused what to order in the main course, I usually order Asian pot meals ! They are a perfect meal as it comes with fried rice topped with veggies or meat in flavourful soya ginger garlic sauce. The quantity of the pot meals are huge ! It can be easily be shared between two to four people. Desserts - Facing East has a great variety of desserts and my favourites are Tres leches, tiramisu and cheesecake. I love the twist they give to these desserts like Tres leches is topped with fresh strawberries and blueberries. Lovely !! Overall facing east is the perfect place for a scrumptious asain meal. Valet parking and prime location adds convenience.

An Asian Fine dine, the interiors of Facing East give a premium feel with light music, and the use of adequately lit up dark interiors gives a peaceful ambience. For all our dishes, we inquired with the manager and mostly went with his suggestions, starting off with CHILLI BASIL CHICKEN (starter) Tender chicken pieces with understated flavours of basil and chicken. One of their most popular items, we enjoyed it. The TRIO MUSHROOM SOUP was an amalgamation of 3 varieties of mushrooms, which were light on the palate and a treat for mushroom lovers. On trying to choose between a dimsum or a cheung-fun, we went for the PEPPER CHICKEN Cheung-fun, since they seemed similar dishes. With a thick steamed rice paper coating, the filling mainly contained steamed pepper chicken and a bit of mushrooms. The taste was quite bland even with the pouring sauce. We also tried the PRAWNS TEMPURA Sushi & the TANUKI PRAWNS Sushi. Not personally a Sushi fan, so would just say the ones who enjoy sushi quite relished it, mainly the Tanuki one. Our final dish was the KOREAN POT RICE, which we totally underestimated when the manager said it would be spicy, since all other dishes were quite on the milder side. The quantity of the rice was extremely generous, sufficing 3-4 people with a medium appetite. The spice level was too high, not for the faint hearted, but the taste was brilliant, with just the right amount of punch. My favourite dish of the evening. The veggies were too chunky for my preference though. The pricing is on a slightly mid-range. The quality of food was top notch & the service quick & hospitable. The restaurant was packed on a weekday evening, so a reservation is recommended. An ideal spot for a date night or family dining for Asian food lovers.

Nestled in the bylanes of Oshiwara is Facing East, a place where you get authentic Asian food. From dimsums to baos to fragrant rice and gravies, this place has it all.

This is newly opened and is a very very huge place. They have 2 types of outside seating, one with ac and one without and an indoor seating as well. They also have a huge table for a private party of small group.

They serve many dipping sauces on the table and their kimchi is just amazing. They also serve pickled carrot and cucumber, a little something to start before your meal comes. You can have as many repeats as you like.

For the mocktail, I tried the Kiwi Magic which had Mango and Kiwi blended with vanilla ice cream. Loved it.

Aromatic Chicken Gyoza : Gyoza means pan fried dimsums. It was stuffed with flavorful minced chicken and pan fried. Very delicious, specially with their dipping sauce.

Fried Chicken Wonton :

Fried wontons are my absolute favorite and this didn't disappoint me at all. Crispy fried wontons with flavored chicken filling, not too spicy, gpes too well with the dip.

Pepper Garlic Chicken Chung Fun :

It was the first time i tried this amd liked it. Chung fun means Rice Noodle Roll. Its made of rice and is slippery and chewy but the sauce they give along with it makes the dish very flavorful. It was filled with pepper chicken.

Crunchy Avocado Roll :

When it comes to sushi, I prefer veg. We tried the crunchy avocado with cream cheese in 8pcs. Very tasty.

Burnt Garlic Fried Rice :

The only rice dish i eat now a days. Very very delicious. Name says it all.

Sliced Chicken with Dry Red Chillies :

This was not spicy as per the name but if you eat the chilli then you will get the hit of spice. Chicken was cooked well and its a semi gravy.

Tres Leches :

Japanese Cake soaked in 3 types of milk and garnished with strawberyy and cream. Its very very tasty. I can have this on repeat.

Service is absolutely top notch. Everyone is well versed about the dishes and serve with a smile. Their portion size is so huge, more than 2 persons can easily have one dish. Its the best place for a family and friends day out. Absolutely...
