Jaffer Bhai's Delhi Darbar — Restaurant in Mumbai

Before I want to start the review... I don't like to complaint about food and hospitality... because some times any 1 of the thing gets messed Up. That I can understand... But here We had a worst experience... Literally it was worst.... We reached around 8.30 pm to the restaurant. Till 9 pm after requesting water from 4-5 waiters still we didn't receive water. And after complaining to the superior person there they served water. About ordering foods, the person who takes orders doesn't comes to your table. We have to request them to come to your table. And after calling him, he arrived after 15 minutes to our table. We order 1 chicken briyani, 1 mutton briyani, 3 starters and 1 fried rice. After ordering we received the starter after 50 minutes. That too chicken malai tikka without malai. Hilarious it was... When asked about that they said.. ye aise hee hota hai sir. We were like.. alright.. lets have this. I believe starters are served with dip in every restaurants. Here by keep on requesting for 3 - 4 times each waiter finally we received green chatni that too full of water. It was just worst. Then we received lolypop it was good. Then we moved for briyani. Now the point is they are serving briyani without masalas and raitaas. Briyani was dry there were very very less amount of masalas. I believe if we have received more masalas with it... It could have tasted better. They did not serve raita with briyani. After keep on asking for raita they gave us raita while the briyani got finished. Then about mutton briyani, the meat was not at all fresh and same masala and raita issues. Fried rice was average. The best part is... The one who is called to take order, that fellow behaves as like he is serving us free food. He is least interested in taking order and serving the consumer. Bas bill karva dho bola tho bill time par aagaya bhai... While paying we complaint about all these stuffs to the cashier, he was life kon aisa kiya kon aisa kiya... Just he was asking the random waiters thats it... There were no necessary actions taken. See my point is we are paying money for hospitality and food... But here both were worst. I m in search for one YouTuber who made video and were telling everything is good here... Literally our dinner was ruined and it was just waste of money. I ll never ever recommend this restaurant to even to the person I don't like. Seriously...

This reviews come from a person who have visited multiple branches of Jaffer Bhai's not only in Bombay but also in Panchgani and Dubai.

1). 4 to 5 Star for food. 2). 5 Star for waiters and cleaners 3). 0 Star for Captains who take orders

It's a common theme in all the branches including dubai. All the captaIn have a lot of attitude problem. They don't know what is customer service. They are rude and never polite.

Once In Mahim branch I told the captain that I need to reorder Crispy Thread Chicken and also confirmed the serving time. I specifically mentioned "reorder" and "exactly" words while reordering the Crispy Thread Chicken .

They bought Crispy Chicken but not with thread. Very Bad when your moms loves the previous dish and ask you to reorder and you get the wrong dish. Too Bad.

But Worse was the attitude of the captain.

He started blaming me, and told it's my mistake wherein there were 6 other members i my family who heard what I told.

He was hesitate to get the order back and raised his voice and told in a rude manner it will take more the 30 minutes for reorder

Then he took the dish back and started shooting and blaming us while taking with the waiter.

I believe the management should teach the captain's about customer service. I have several more instance to narrate where I had very bad experience...

Firstly, the food here is absolutely delicious! But that's the only aspect to like about this place. The other stuff let's you down, in a big way!

The place has good decor but it is not well maintained. The restaurant is not hygeinic. The tables were stained and not well cleant. We had to request the server to clean our table, and also the seats. The AC was not working well. The servers were busy talking among themselves about how to accommodate more guests and which tables to vacate. They were so occupied with accomodating more guests, they forgot about the ones already in the restaurant. Also, the constant yelling by the staff disturbed everyone having their meals.

The food is delicious though. We ordered Chicken Kebab, Kung Pao Potato, Tandoori Roti, Naan, Mutton Handi, Chicken Masala and Paneer Shanghai Rice. All dishes were good. The Mutton Handi was specifically good. The quantity could be better, but was not bad either.

The washrooms are on the first floor and are common for men and women. On the day of our visit, one washroom was locked due to water leakage issues and hence there was a line of about 4-5 people outside the washroom. The washroom area itself is poorly maintained and wet.

The food is great, but the service leaves a lot...
