We went here for Sunday dinner and there was 30+ mins waiting. All the indoor and outdoor seating was full. The space is a little cramped, but in Mumbai which place isn't. They had a lot of online orders too which they were catering to very quickly.
Once we got an indoor table, we ordered a sky rocket pizza and a pepper pizza. Sky rocket was amazing and the crust was normal woodfired which was not chewy at all and properly cooked. The rocket leaves and buffalo cheese were also on point. The pepper pizza was thin crust which was not as good but decent enough.
I'd visited this place over a year ago too for a Saturday lunch. At that time this place wasn't so popular but the food was just as good. We had ordered pesto pasta and pesto sun-dried tomatoes pizza.
Pro tip: Order the regular woodfired base here, not thin crust for authentic taste and texture. Try these with chilli oil which you can ask for.
The service though could be improved. After the waiting, we ordered quickly and the pizzas arrived quickly too. But when asked for regular water, they didn't bring that. After asking for it over 4 times over the next 30 mins, they finally got it. That too they served and didn't leave the water jug there. so we had to repeat this cycle again for more water.
Overall, as someone who's tried a LOT of Italian places in multiple cities, for food and vibe I would definitely recommend this place but it'd be better and less chaotic if visited...
Read moreWe have been to K's charcoal on a Sunday evening. The restaurant wasn't too crowded which was surprising for a Sunday evening, maybe the match was to be blamed. It was smaller than we expected, but wasn't too cramped up.
Food: Here's what we had- We started with 'late night nachos' which was tasty, this contained nachos with avocado, sour cream and creamy cheese and served with salsa sauce. I'd call it a must have. Then we had ordered the dough sticks which was served with garlic butter and pesto dip. This was decent in taste and it felt like we had garlic bread sticks. In mains, we ordered the spinach and ricotta Ravioli with cheesy cream sauce. This was yummy, and had generous amount of creamy cheese. If you like ravioli, then this is also a must have. Service: the service was fast, food was served in a decent amount of time, the waiting staff were polite and responsive. Ambience: the ambience was good, they can work upon adding a little bit more to the aesthetics but it does give that feel of being in an italian garden (like in movies), so it was good. Cost: we spent 1200 for 2 people which is pocket friendly and quite cheap for the quality of food. Overall, I'd recommend this place for their fast service and tasty food. Plus if in the area and tired from shopping, can visit here to relax and enjoy...
Read moreK’s Charcoal is honestly a great find in Mumbai if you’re craving flavorful North Indian and Mughlai food. I ordered a spread that included kebabs, biryani, and a couple of curries, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well everything was prepared. The kebabs had that perfect smoky char while still being juicy inside, you can tell they take their marination seriously. The biryani was aromatic with just the right balance of spices, not overpowering but still rich and satisfying.
The portion sizes were generous, and the packaging was sturdy and neat, so the food arrived in good condition. Delivery was on time, which is always a plus. I also appreciated that the food didn’t feel overly greasy, which is rare for this cuisine.
The only reason I’m leaving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the curries, while flavorful, could have been served a little hotter (temperature-wise) on arrival. It wasn’t a deal-breaker, but I think that extra bit of warmth would’ve made the experience perfect.
Overall, definitely a place I’ll be reordering from. Great value for money, authentic flavors, and a good balance between quality...
